We were all gathered in the barn at Spencer's house, with the sound of the air in the background; only Alison was missing; none of us knew where she was, but that's how things were with Ali, a mystery.

—I will miss summer so much. —I said with a laugh as I passed the glass to Spencer.

Suddenly, the barn light went out causing us to stop laughing and look at each other.

—What was that? —asked my sister.

—It must be the storm. —Spencer replied as she lit a candle.

I didn't like this at all; the darkness and the silence that invaded us made me shiver. It got worse when a noise was heard outside the barn, making the five of us approach the entrance, all holding each other's arms.

Alison appeared just as we were all close to leaving the barn; typical Ali, she loves to play pranks on us.

—That wasn't funny at all Alison. —Spencer told her, still scared.

—You should have seen your faces girls. —she teased.

—Ali, did you download Beyonce's new album? —Hanna asked as she sat down.

—Not yet.

—I loved her new video. —Emily told her.

—Maybe too much, Em. —Alison teased; it was something about her; she loved dropping little hints of secrets we told her.

My phone rang; it was Jason. I was lucky Ali didn't know about us yet, but I couldn't deal with him right now, not like this.

—Anyone we know Lizzie? —said Ali with an amused tone.

How I hated that nickname, it was so childish.

—No one, just my mom asking about Hanna and me. —I smiled with my lips pressed together.

The rest of the night was spent drinking alcohol and laughing; I just don't quite remember how I fell asleep so quickly until Aria woke me up.

—What's wrong Aria? —I asked still tired.

—Ali and Spencer are not here. —She said worriedly.

—Are you sure? They probably went out to Spencer's house for something, go back to sleep.

—Come on, wake Emily up. —She insisted.

I had to get Emily and my sister up while Aria went to get the flashlight. Once we were all on our feet, we headed out of the barn to get the girls, but we couldn't get out as Spencer was coming in.
