A few weeks had passed since their secret romance began, and Shubman and Prapti had somehow managed to settle into their new rhythm.

It was a crazy, exhilarating kind of chaos—one that revolved around sneaking in phone calls at odd hours, sending teasing texts, and balancing their individual work lives.

They had kept their relationship hidden from everyone around them, playing the part of the best friends as perfectly as they always had.

Now, Prapti was in Paris for a high-profile photoshoot, while Shubman was back in India, grinding through intense practice sessions with the team.

The time difference and their packed schedules made things even harder, but they somehow found a way to make it work.

Shubman, currently lounging in his hotel room after a long day of practice, was scrolling through his phone. His fingers hovered over Prapti's contact, debating whether or not to call her. He knew she was probably busy, but he missed her voice. It had only been a week since she left, but it felt like forever.

"Fuck it," he muttered to himself and dialled her number.

After a few rings, she picked up, sounding breathless, like she'd just wrapped up something big. "Hey, troublemaker. Missing me already?"

Shubman grinned at the sound of her voice, immediately feeling lighter. "What can I say, princess? Paris might have you, but you're still mine."

She laughed softly on the other end. "Possessive much? You're lucky no one here can hear you or else they'd think you're a caveman."

"Let them think what they want," he shot back, leaning against the headboard of his hotel bed.

"You know I'm the only one who gets to call you 'princess'."

There was a brief pause on the other end, and Shubman could picture her rolling her eyes, though he knew she secretly loved it. "You're too much sometimes, you know that?"

"And yet, here we are," he replied with a chuckle. "So, how's Paris? Am I gonna see you on every billboard in the world soon?"

"Ugh, it's exhausting," she admitted, her voice softening. "Photoshoots, interviews, and I have another one lined up tomorrow. I barely got a moment to breathe, but hearing your voice makes it a little better."
