THEY SAY THAT HELL HATH NO FURY like a woman scorned. Keely-Rome Darcy was as scorned as women came, and Merlin was she furious. Her boyfriend of four years, Gilderoy Lockhart, was dumping her. He was dumping her.
The slimy blonde git had the audacity to (I) cheat on her, (II) lie about it, and (III) proceed to dump and blame her for his misgivings. Keely was fuming, and she could feel hell's flames shedding smoke from the crown of her hair.
Her babydoll face was contoured with her rage, her eyes dripping with molten-hot venom, her soft usually smiling lips curled into a snarl. It wasn't very Hufflepuff of her, Gilderoy had said. To be so angry, so unforgiving, so infuriated.
And yet, that in itself made no sense. Who in their right mind, or out of it, could not be absolutely reveling with hate after being wronged so ruefully, without cause, without reason, without apology?
She had never hated anyone or anything as much as she hated him, right then and there. In Puddifoot's. On their four-year anniversary, sitting across from the lying son of a bitch that she made worth fluttering an eyelash at.
Keely stared down at her coffee, and without a second thought or the bat of an eyelash, she tipped the piping-hot beverage down the front of her beloved Gilly, before gently placing the porcelain tea cup on the table and storming out of the frilly pink cafe.
"Fuck you, Gilderoy Lockhart! I hope you rot in the fiery pits of the hell you crawled out from."
He screamed, hastily wiping the liquid off of his trousers. She didn't care. She was so sick of being Hufflepuff's pretty little baby doll. She was sick of being kind, and having that kindness being mistaken for weakness.
Keely-Rome Darcy was not weak by any means.
