Khao POV:
As soon as I step into the dressing room, my heart is still racing from the show, I can barely believe it's over. I did it. I actually did it. Gem and Fourth really came through, helping ease my nerves. And then there's First... pretending to be the supportive partner, even though I know he couldn't care less. Yet, for some reason, his gestures still helped. I hate to admit it, but I accept it.
The moment the program ended, he bolted out of there, confirming what I already suspected that girl made a big impact on him. I swear I've seen her before, but no matter how hard I try, I can't place her.
Before I can think any further, Tay bursts into the room, practically shouting, "Khao, you nailed it! No words, seriously you were perfect! This show's gonna be a hit for sure. you couple already trending on Twitter, YouTube... everywhere!"
I blink, trying to absorb his energy.
"You heard me! You killed it," Tay shouts again, his excitement almost blinding. "And your chemistry... it's on another level."
I can't even muster a response when Tay suddenly grins and asks, "Khao, can I ask you a small question?" He leans in, teasing. "You and First... you're dating, right? You've got history, don't you?"
History? With First? My mind goes blank. I can feel the tension rising in my chest. How am I supposed to say that I hate this man with all my heart? Being his boyfriend is the last thing I'd ever want.
I force a weak, awkward smile. But before I can even answer, New chimes in, practically shouting from across the room, "See? They definitely have a thing! I'm sure of it."
New doesn't let up, laughing as he teases, "They're probably in the 'fighting era,' right?"
I can only manage another awkward smile, all while thinking, If only they knew about two faced First.

After bidding everyone goodbye, I step out of the building, ready to leave this exhausting day behind me. But just as I reach the street, I hear someone call out, "Mr. Khatoung, Mr. Khatoung!"
I stop in my tracks, turning to see who's calling me by my full name.
"Mr. Khatoung? Am I correct?"
"Yes... May I know who you are?" I ask, puzzled.
"I'm Dan." He grins. "You know, you're really good at throwing."
"...What?" I blink, completely thrown off by his comment.
"Oh, don't worry," he says with a chuckle, waving his hand. "I was at the hotel that time."
It clicks. The hotel... the shoe. Embarrassment hits me like a wave, but I manage a strained, awkward smile.
