it hadn't taken long before i realised i developed a small crush on him.
his smile was perfect, his face was perfect, his jawline was perfect, his body was perfect.....you get the idea. i blinked out of my thoughts as the teacher called my name.
"Hyeon."
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow and frowned.
"Yes, Mr Dawfiells?
"What is the gradient solution to this question? i dont want to repeat myself a third time."
Embarrassment and shame tinted my cheeks red at the thought of ignoring the teacher the first time because i was zoning out. i gulped and looked at the question. Thank god i studied for this.
"The gradient equals to MX + C."
he nodded and continued with the lesson. i breathed out a heavy sigh and Raeji looked at me, concerned.
"Hye," she whispered. "Are you okay? I can get something for you to feel better. Are you on your period?"
i shake my head and give a soft smile, doing a motion with my hands, indicating i was daydreaming about....someone. The bell rung and i quickly stood up, packing my things, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. i left before Niki and Raeji, running into the cafeteria.
I pretended to eat, when in doubt i was looking for him. i frowned when Raeji came with Niki. She happily talked to him, which made my heart twist with a strange knot. i forced it away as i looked at her surprisingly.
"Niki, this is my friend, Hyeon. Or you can call her Hye. Hye, this is Niki."
She wriggled her eyebrows at the mention of Niki and i rolled my eyes, grinning a bit. i stood up and bowed, grabbing Niki's hand in the process.
"Nice to meet you, Niki."
"Nice name, Hye. You can also call me Riki, or Nishimura Riki."
I nodded and sat down, cheeks flushed at the thought of him saying i had a 'nice name.' I ate my food, oblivious to the fact Raeji was the main one talking to Niki. i finished eating before them, as i went early and i said goodbye for the day. Raeji looked confused and frowned.
"Wait, where are you going? We still have one more period."
I shrug and glance back as i walk out.
"Online, remember?"
She just sighs and nods, before turning back to Niki and talking to him.
TIME SKIP
Thing is, i didn't go online, i just slept and was thoroughly confused. Raeji running to Niki to get my pen back, talking with him happily and not with me, coming to our table with him, talking to him first. I sighed and pushed that gut-wrenching feeling down to my stomach.
i closed my eyes and offed my light.
she doesn't like him.........right?
