With that message, you closed your phone and got in your car leaving for dinner. You got home at 11pm and just plopped in your bed. The next morning, you woke up with a missed call from Billie so you decided to call her back"Hey..you were asleep weren't you?" She answered the call sounding pretty tired.
"Yep, what's wrong? Why did you call?" You asked already getting ready.
"Just wanted to talk I guess." She answered rolling around in bed.
"Did I wake you up?" You asked.
"It's fine I have to walk Shark anyways." She told you.
"Billie i have a question and I need you to be honest." You spoke up.
"What is it?" She smiled still sleepy.
"That dinner on Wednesday, did you thought it was a date?" You asked your voice clearly getting seriously.
"I mean kinda yes." She answered your question.
"Oh i See." You said now straightening your hair.
"But it wasn't one for you, was it?" She said sightly being embarrassed.
"I don't know, I thought you were just being nice by taking me out. I didn't thought you wanted to date." You told her.
"Maybe I should've told you, I don't know. I just like being around you so I thought if I ask you wouldn't talk to me anymore." She told you.
"Look, I like you a lot but I don't know if I want to risk ruining our weird friendship." You said trying to choose your words carefully.
"Weird friendship?" She asked.
"No look we got along right away, which is weird because my friends and I used to hate each other before we were friends." You tried to explain yourself.
"Can we talk about it when you get here? I need t take Shark for a walk." She asked.
"So four is still the time?" You asked.
She nodded before she hung up. You finished getting ready your thoughts going back and forth between staying just friends or going out with her. You made yourself some breakfast, scrolling von social media and tried to distract yourself. As 4PM came, you found yourself at her front door, hesitating to ring the bell or driving back home.
"How long are you standing there? Billie asked opening the door.
"A minute maybe two.." You answered.
"Did I miss the doorbell?" She asked smiling at you.
"I didn't ring it." You admitted.
"I see, you don't really want to talk to me." She let you inside.
"No it's not that, I just don't know what to say and also I don't want to make you feel bad." You answered.
"So that means you won't risk going out with me." She said unsure.
"I didn't say that Billie, come on you know its not an easy decision." You told her.
"You want to drink anything?" She asked walking around her living room.
"No I'm fine, thanks but seriously sit down you're making me nervous when you walk around like that." You said.
"Sorry..I am nervous." She told you sitting down next to you.
"I haven decided yet." You looked at her.
"How long do you need to decide?" She asked.
"I don't know its complicated. The last time I dated a friend it didn't work out and we never talked again and I don't want that to happen with us because I really like you." You said.
"What is the first answer coming to your mind?" She asked.
"It's yes." You admitted.
"Look, I'm asking for one date. And if we think were better off with friends we just stay friends." She suggested.
"I guess that's fine." You said smiling at her shortly.
