Pretty Letters..

the wait

....about college, lectures, their teachers, their past education, how did they come up with this college, their subjects that are back, basically educational stuff. At one point the conversation went to who their parents were and what they did. He did not seem to like that topic so she managed to not talk on this one. And then finally, they talked about "Why were you staring at me that night". This was the topic she did not want to talk about but he didn't take the hint. Finally she said  "Okay see I'll be honest it is nothing special. I don't usually look at people like that. I don't make eye contact generally. But that day-" "yeas yes" " that day your confidence, your style I really liked them and so I could not help. You were just different from all people" "just my confidence and not my charm?" He said laughing. That was pretty straight forward. "Okay yup your charm too. You looked good" "so why not give your charming buddy a chance?" He said suddenly. The heat was rising in her face she might not take this conversation any longer. She managed to say "Look see I told you that day that I don't date people until I know them. Like really well. Why are you after ME anyways its not like and very pretty and very social. I don't even talk normally?" "How much time does it take you to get comfortable "   huh?   "it depends like it does not have to a specific period of time it depends on the person" " so like two weeks?" "no maybe longer". he seemed lost after that and there died the conversation.

So a few days after that episode they did not talk. She did not seem to find him anywhere exams. She was impatient and she would overthink for hours everyday. As a  result her remaining exams didn't go very well. Not that she cared though, she only cared on getting passing marks. which she did. she got passing marks in almost all the subjects except one - math. you know once upon a time she got full marks everytime there would be a math test. but still anyways she was numb to that fact right now. She only thought about her boy  and ohh why is he not messaging. Did she do something wrong she desperately wanted that friend in him.  And so she decided to show some courage and text him.

Hey nothing much, what do you sayy?

Wanna meet? We haven't met since then right?

Her heart beats.

Yeah ok. Where?

Front of the canteen, yes?

Yeah cool cool.

She falls over in her bed and snuggles in her pillows.
