“what the fuck did you say?” the bully snapped, turning around to face a boy with long hair. seokmin was shocked, but at least he got his inhaler back.

the bully charged at the long-haired boy, about to punch him, but the guy grabbed his arm and flipped him to the ground.

“agh!” the bully grunted as the boy stood over him, eyes dark and intense. “you heard me. bullying doesn’t make you look scary.”

seokmin watched as the bully’s friends ran off in fear.

the long-haired boy then hit the bully in the stomach before turning to seokmin, worry in his eyes. “are you okay?” he asked, glancing at seokmin’s ankle. “fuck, he hit you here!”

seokmin noticed that the guy was a bit taller than him, with sleepy, doe-like eyes and long hair that gave him a handsome look.

“d-don’t curse…” seokmin mumbled, and the boy smiled. “here, give me your hand.”

seokmin nodded, standing up. his ankle still hurt, but not badly.

“oh, do you know... joshua, hong joshua?” the boy asked.

seokmin nodded lightly. “do you know where he is right now?”

seokmin nodded again as they started walking, the boy following him.

“right, i forgot to introduce myself. i’m yoon jeonghan, joshua’s cousin.”

seokmin was surprised but nodded. they reached the cafeteria, where only a few students were left. seokmin spotted joshua, recognizable by his black mullet.

he walked up and tapped joshua’s shoulder, getting his attention.

joshua was surprised to see jeonghan behind seokmin. “jeonghan...?”

“jeonghan, look, he hasn’t done anything to you, has he? if he did, forgive him. he can’t even hurt a fly.”

“excuse me, i came here to see you. and why was this guy getting bullied? i thought you two were friends?”

joshua stood up, concern in his eyes. “where did they hurt you?”

seokmin shook his head. “no—nowhere…”

jeonghan watched them before flicking joshua’s head. “after school, me, you, and...”

“l-lee seokmin…”

“seokmin will go out together, to eat.”
