Luke stood in the doorway of their cozy home, the late afternoon sun spilling through the window and casting a warm glow on everything. He had just come home from a grueling football practice, feeling drained but invigorated—the Football League was starting next week, and the team was on edge.

Ivy was in the kitchen, her laughter floating in from the living room where our daughter, Amy, was building some elaborate structure out of blocks. Luke leaned against the doorframe, taking a moment to appreciate how beautiful Ivy looked, wholly immersed in her world.

A sense of calmness washed over him.

This is it, Luke thought. This is what I've always wanted.

When Ivy and Luke got married, he knew they were embarking on a new adventure, but nothing could have prepared him for the reality of their life together.

It's even better than what he'd imagined.

They had their routines, their inside jokes, and the little quirks that made their relationship unique. I still can't believe she chose me.

Watching her now, Luke felt a wave of gratitude. Ivy had become a bestselling author, somehow balancing her literary passion with the chaos of family life. Her creativity infused everything she touched.

She's incredible. How does she do it?

Ivy glanced over her shoulder and caught him watching. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she smiled at him—warm and inviting, like his favorite blanket on a cold day. Even after all these years, his heart raced. She still blushes around me. That's amazing.

"Hey, you," she said, her voice brightening the room even more. "You're just in time for dinner. Want to help set the table?"

"Sure, but only if you promise to save me some of that lasagna," Luke replied, stepping in to help her. I'll do anything for her. Just to see that smile.

After Luke set the table and Ivy put down the dishes, they gathered around as a family. Amy was the center of their universe with her big eyes and boundless energy. She inherited Ivy's creativity and Luke's competitive spirit—always ready to challenge me to a race in the yard or a game of cards. It's like having two Ivy's in one house.

As they dug into the meal, Amy began sharing her latest creation—a story about a brave princess and a mischievous dragon. Listening to her weave the narrative, Luke couldn't help but smile. She's got her mother's imagination.

"You're a natural storyteller, sweetheart," he said, genuinely impressed. "Just like your mom."

Ivy's eyes sparkled at the compliment, and Luke felt a swell of pride. We make a good team, he thought. Our lives are intertwined in the best possible ways.

Sometimes, when he watched Ivy lost in thought while she read or worked on her latest project, Luke couldn't help but feel amazed. How did I get so lucky?

"Alright, Luke," the reporter said with a grin, holding the microphone a little closer. "You've just won your third Most Valuable Player award last season. You're at the peak of your career—people want to know what keeps you going. What's your secret to staying grounded with all the fame and pressure?"

Luke Donovan, quarterback sensation, wiped the sweat from his brow and flashed a charming smile. His fans could see the usual confident gleam in his eyes, but today, something softer lingered beneath it.

"Honestly?" Luke said, glancing down for a moment before meeting the reporter's gaze again. "It's my wife, Ivy. Hands down."

There was a stir from the small crowd gathered around, including his coach, teammates, and some curious fans nearby. The reporter, intrigued, leaned in a bit. "Your wife? Novelist Ivy Mitchell? Care to elaborate?"
