Shoot

I think to myself. Because of some problems during the summer and changing from countries to study I've gotten a longer vacation than most others do. So why'd I nearly have to be late for the first day of college?!
.. Well, it's my second year of College. I completed my first in England, but with my obvious talents and brains I got a scholarship. Honestly, I never actually believed I'd take the chance for this, not because I have to travel all the way to Germany for this, but mainly because the idea of being away from home makes me so... homesick, even when I wasn't gone already.

But whatever, I'm here now. I know German since I've got some family here, I'm not the best but we can ignore that. After all, they never said there was a prize for being fluent in German. I like to get rewarded for things if I actually have to do them.

But what the hell am I even thinking about at this point. I have my own apartment complex near the College and I damn well overslept on the first day. This is so not cool.

--------------------------------------------------

As I rush, mainly speed walking until I see the College into view, I get hit with the most stungent perfume ever. hitting my nostrils as though they'd sprayed all over themselves. Oh how I hope they don't go to my College. Even my thoughts get riled up with sarcasm. I turn my head in the direction of the smell, only to see a woman. Graceful, elegant even. She held her purse in a way you'd think she was royalty. With sunglasses on, it wasn't even bright.

And a hat.

Who even wears hats like those anymore.

Even so, she didn't seem middle-aged. If I had to guess, it'd be around her 60's, and that's without offense too. And for a woman like her with the most nose-destroying perfume, even I have to admit she's beautiful.

I turn my attention back towards getting to the College, taking my phone out of my pocket to check the time.
8:12 AM
Not so bad. College starts at 8:20 AM. I know with this walking distance it only takes about 5 more minutes, so I'm not entirely worried about being late anymore, even though I do walk a little faster then normal.

Reaching the building, the first thing I notice is how... bland, lifeless, and serious it looked. Not a fun place it seems, which sucked. I'm all for fun and games, especially at a place where I have to study for 8 hours a day. I suck in a quick breath and exhale, this was my own decision.

Here I come, Ludwig Machmillians College.
