I stood in my darkened bedroom, staring out the window at the city below. My mind seethed with anger and hatred.
My enemy, Victor, had ruined my family's life. Now, it was time for payback.
I paced, plotting my revenge. Victor's empire would crumble, and he'd suffer.
Ava's face flashed in my mind. Her innocence, her beauty. I'd use her.
She was a pawn in my game, a means to an end. Her connection to Amy made her valuable.
Amy's family had ties to Victor, and Ava's friendship with Amy could provide valuable information.
I'd manipulate Ava, control her. She'd unknowingly help me destroy Victor.
My brother, Liam, entered the room. "Ethan, what's the plan?"
I turned, my eyes locking onto his. "Victor's going down."
Liam nodded. "I'm with you, bro."
"We'll start by gathering intel," I said, my mind racing. "Ava will be our key."
Liam raised an eyebrow. "The girl from school?"
I nodded. "Her friendship with Amy gives us an in."
Liam's expression turned serious. "Ethan, be careful. You can't trust anyone."
I smiled, cold and calculated. "I'll use Ava, and then discard her."
Liam's eyes narrowed. "Ethan, you're playing with fire."
I shrugged. "I'll do whatever it takes."
The darkness within me grew, fueled by my desire for revenge.
Ava's face reappeared in my mind. She was just a pawn—Here's Ethan's POV:
_Chapter 6: Darkness_
Night fell, and I transformed.
By day, I worked with Victor, pretending to be his loyal associate. But at night, I plotted his downfall.
I drove through the shadows, Ava's house my destination.
I slipped into her yard, avoiding detection. Her window was unlocked, and I slid in silently.
Ava slept, peaceful and unaware.
I approached her bed, my presence casting a dark shadow.
She stirred, sensing me. "Who's there?"
I remained silent, watching as fear crept into her eyes.
"Ava," I whispered, my voice low and menacing.
She gasped, sitting up. "Ethan! What are you doing here?"
I smiled, enjoying her fear. "I sent Sava to keep an eye on you. Now, I can see you anytime."
Ava's eyes widened. "Why are you doing this?"
I leaned in, my face inches from hers. "I want to be with you."
Ava's voice trembled. "W-why?"
I chuckled, low and menacing. "You're mine now."
Ava's fear was intoxicating, but I saw something else – a spark of trust.
She relaxed, slightly, and I sensed her surrender.
"Maybe I can trust you," she whispered.
I laughed, internally. Trust? No, Ava. You'll do as I say.
For now, I'll play nice.
I sat beside her, my presence overwhelming.
"You're safe with me," I lied, my voice soft.
Ava's eyes searched mine, and for a moment, I thought she saw the real me.
But she couldn't. No one could.
...
Ava's fear had subsided, replaced by a tentative trust. I'd play on that.
As I sat beside her, my presence enveloped her. She felt small, vulnerable.
"You're safe with me," I repeated, my voice gentle.
Ava's eyes searched mine, seeking reassurance. I gave her a calculated smile.
"Tell me, Ava," I whispered, my breath on her skin. "Do you feel safe?"
She nodded, her voice barely audible. "Y-yes."
I leaned in, my lips brushing her ear. "Good. You're mine now."
Ava shivered, but didn't pull away. I took that as consent.
My fingers traced her jawline, possessive. She didn't flinch.
"I'll protect you," I promised, meaning the opposite.
Ava's trust was intoxicating. She had no idea what I was capable of.
As I held her, a strange sense of calm washed over me. For the first time, my darkness receded.
But I knew better. This was temporary.
My phone buzzed – Victor's message. "Meet me tomorrow."
I glanced at Ava, her eyes closed, trusting.
Tomorrow, I'd play the loyal associate. Tonight, I'd savor this.
Ava's eyes fluttered open, her gaze meeting mine. She smiled, timidly.
I smiled back, calculated. "Sleep well?"
Ava nodded, her voice soft. "Yeah."
" I know you agreed to do anything for me," i sat and she pull away.
" I d-didnt. W-what are you going to make me do?" She asked.
" Be mine. Fuck you," i say and she flinches at my words.
" No, don't. Please," she says her blue eyes begging.
I just smirk and she looks away.
