The last day of their Hawaiian adventure had arrived, and the island was just as breathtaking as ever. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over everything as Jungkook and Taehyung made their way through the resort’s gardens, hand in hand. Their laughter echoed in the breeze as they reminisced about the past few days of exploring beaches, hiking trails, and indulging in the best food the island had to offer. But tonight felt different—there was something special in the air, an unspoken excitement that neither of them could quite put into words.
As the evening approached, Taehyung noticed that Jungkook had become unusually quiet, his eyes glinting with a sense of anticipation. Taehyung didn’t press him, though he couldn’t help but wonder if something was on his husband’s mind.
“Are you okay?” Taehyung asked as they stood together on their villa's balcony, watching the sun slowly dip beneath the horizon.
Jungkook turned to him, his lips curling into a soft smile. “More than okay,” he said, his voice deep and comforting. “I just have a surprise planned for tonight.”
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, intrigued but also a little suspicious. “A surprise? What are you up to, Jeon Jungkook?”
Jungkook chuckled and leaned in to press a kiss to Taehyung’s forehead. “You’ll see.”
After dinner, Taehyung’s curiosity only grew when Jungkook told him to dress in something comfortable but special. Taehyung slipped into a simple yet elegant white shirt and beige linen pants, the soft fabric flowing with the evening breeze. He tied a loose scarf around his neck, adding a touch of flair, while Jungkook chose a fitted black shirt and slacks, looking effortlessly handsome.
They left their villa and made their way down to the beach, where Taehyung’s breath was stolen the moment he saw what Jungkook had prepared.
The moon hung high in the night sky, casting its silvery glow over the ocean. Lanterns were placed delicately in the sand, lighting a pathway down to a secluded area of the beach. A large canopy stood there, decorated with fairy lights that twinkled like stars. Underneath the canopy was a simple table, adorned with flowers, a bottle of champagne, and two chairs facing the ocean.
But what caught Taehyung’s attention the most was the small platform near the water’s edge, draped in flowing white curtains. It was beautiful, intimate, and absolutely perfect.
“Jungkook...” Taehyung whispered, his voice soft with awe. “What... what is all this?”
Jungkook took his hand and led him down the path of lanterns. “I wanted tonight to be special. It’s our last night here, and it’s also been one year since we got married. I know we didn’t do anything grand back then, so I thought... we should celebrate in our own way.”
Taehyung’s heart swelled as they approached the platform. He was overwhelmed by how thoughtful Jungkook had been, planning everything so perfectly. “You did all this... for us?”
Jungkook nodded, his eyes locking with Taehyung’s. “I wanted to do something that would make this night unforgettable.”
As they reached the platform, Jungkook led Taehyung to the center, where the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the air. The moonlight bathed them in its glow, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world had faded away, leaving only the two of them in this beautiful, magical moment.
Jungkook took both of Taehyung’s hands in his and smiled. “There’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now.”
Taehyung’s breath caught in his throat as Jungkook slowly lowered himself to one knee, still holding his hands. His heart raced, and his eyes widened as he realized what was happening.
“Tae,” Jungkook began, his voice soft but steady. “When I first met you, I never imagined we’d come this far. You’ve been my best friend, my love, my home. And even though we’ve already married, there’s something I’ve been wanting to say.”
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. Taehyung’s breath hitched as Jungkook opened it, revealing a delicate diamond ring that sparkled in the moonlight.
“I want to promise you, all over again, that I’ll love you for the rest of my life. Through every challenge, every joy, and every moment in between. I want to remind you that you’re the most important person in my life, and I’m so incredibly lucky to be yours. So, Taehyung,” Jungkook looked up at him with eyes full of love, “will you continue to be my husband, my partner, and my everything?”
Tears welled up in Taehyung’s eyes, his emotions overwhelming him. He couldn’t speak for a moment, his heart too full of love and gratitude for the man kneeling before him. He swallowed hard, finally finding his voice.
“Yes,” Taehyung whispered, his voice breaking. “Yes, a thousand times yes.”
Jungkook smiled, slipping the diamond ring onto Taehyung’s finger. The ring was perfect—elegant and timeless, just like their love. Taehyung’s tears flowed freely now, and Jungkook stood, pulling him into a tight embrace.
“I love you so much,” Taehyung whispered against Jungkook’s chest, his voice trembling with emotion.
Jungkook kissed the top of his head, holding him close. “I love you more than words can say.”
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other’s arms as the ocean whispered around them. When they finally pulled back, their eyes met, and they shared a kiss—a kiss that held all the love, all the promises, and all the memories they had shared.
Later that night, under the soft glow of the moon and surrounded by the warmth of the candles and lanterns, they celebrated their love with champagne and soft laughter, toasting to one year of marriage and a lifetime more to come.

Meanwhile, back home, Jin and Namjoon stood in the quiet hall of the adoption center. The room was bathed in soft light as they watched from afar, their eyes fixed on a small girl playing with a set of blocks by herself in the corner.
“She’s beautiful,” Namjoon whispered, his voice full of emotion.
Jin nodded, his throat tight with tears. He watched the little girl, her soft hair falling over her face as she built a tiny tower of blocks, her concentration unwavering. “She’s the one,” Jin said softly, his voice trembling with emotion. “I just know it.”
Namjoon’s hand found Jin’s, squeezing it gently. “Are you sure?”
Jin turned to him, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “Yes. We’ll proceed with everything as soon as Jungkook and Taehyung are back. She’s ours.”
Namjoon smiled, his own eyes filling with tears as he looked back at the little girl. “I can’t wait to bring her home.”
Together, they stood there, watching the girl who would soon become a part of their family, knowing that their love was about to grow in a way they had never imagined.
