The moon is responsible for a plethora of supernatural scenarios on this green planet. Associated spirits tend to be among the dark and quite grim. However, the population tends to forget one of the most important factors that the moon contributes to Earth: ebbing the flow of tides. Where the moon's gravity pushes around the earth's orbit, its own force bends the water underneath. Such a colossal, round rock capable of such a feat and consistently over the aging expanse in the void. With the tides in a constant stream of chaotic traffic, those who venture out in these waters find dark fates to be lost down the gulfs below. These deaths create a toll, somehow demanding more and more...
Mara sips from her tall glass of fresh, cold lemonade, basking under the sun. Her frame bobs up and down softly, resting atop a pool inflatable chair that floats on the topside of the pool. The apparel of the day is a black cross wrap halter and a simple, black low cut bikini bottom. With such breasts, it's quite a sight on how they bulge out to the sides and through the boob window in between. Her lack of a sunhat now shows her curly kept hair that she had gathered into a puffy ponytail, her eyes sporting a simple set of black sunglasses. Her idle sipping is low, fully relaxed, enjoying herself in so much bliss.
Vae, on the other hand, is stressed. She is standing right at the pool's side with eyes glaring forward. She holds an umbrella that has the ship's logo over it to cover herself entirely from the sunlight. After last night's events, she somehow had curves now stuck on her own frame where her breasts are several cup sizes larger now alongside a bit of a gut. Mara provided Vae a jacket that also held the cruise ship's logo with blue jeans to fit. Her attentive stance shows Mara that she is fully alert for anything to come. Her nose and ears occasionally transform to both smell and hear her surroundings, reverting back to human characteristics.
Mara's chair bumps against the pool edge where Vae stands, the moon spirit looking up to the hybrid vampire werewolf over her sunglasses. A few seconds of silence pass as Mara plainly stares at the firmly attentive Vae, finally asking,
"Vae, the cruise is huge. You're cloaked. Why aren't you enjoying yourself?"Vae finally looks down on Mara with the plainest expression imaginable. "I sense another spirit aboard this ship. From what I can gauge out, it could be dangerous."
"I know." Mara admits, sipping her lemonade."Then you should be on high alert, master." Vae nods, as if trying to come off as someone who knew better.
"Oh, then I'll forget about it and not worry about it. See? That simple." Mara shrugs, floating back to the middle of the pool, turning, spinning, slowly.
Vae narrows her eyes. "And if it's a problem? What happens if they find you? Worse, they-"
"Okaaay, we'll look for the ghost on the ship." Mara hangs her head back, then stuffs the glass of lemonade into her cleavage. It disappears seamlessly, not a drop spilling out. Vae briefly smiles as she grows out a wolftail from behind, wagging it eagerly. "But," Mara states as she returns to the steps, standing up and walking out of the pool. "You will stick by my side the entire time. Don't leave my side for any reason."As the two ventured on the ship, Mara could not stop thinking to herself over what Vae really is. She's seen a lot of oddities in her life, however, Vae stands out among the recent advancements she has been seeing. With the melting pot that is the internet alongside superstitions growing in the masses, it would not be wild to assume that this fusion of Vampire and Werewolf was a result. Her eyes narrow down as she looks upon Vae's neck, noticing a small scar over her nape. By the edges of the scar, she notes orderly places lines where they used to be. Worried with the implications, she finally asks,
"Say, Vae, do you know... well, why do you exist? Not to get existential or anything, but-"
"To hunt." Vae calmly states, dead eyes fixed forward. "I studied what they gave me, ate what they gave me, understood what they gave me. That's why I'm here."
