"Welcome back to Barcelona!"
Jonas, Barcelona's manager, patted Rose's back as she finished signing her new contract. She couldn't stop smiling as they took photos and he informed her on what she had to do the following days.
Once all the media leaves Jonas looks at her with a serious face; "I know you're familiar with our captain, I've heard about your past and I know about the tension that you two have grown throughout the years. You guys are now teammates though so while on the field I expect you to put that all aside."
She nods "I expected nothing less"
Surely they can put their differences aside for a few hours a day, it can't be that hard? She thought wrong.
"To make sure you guys start off right, Alexia has agreed to give you a tour of the grounds."
Rose's smile has never dropped so fast. "Surely that's not necessary, I'm sure it hasn't changed to much since I was last here-"
"Then this should be quick." There she stood in the doorway, an annoying smirk plastered on her face.
Rose turned to Jonas, "I was here a month ago, I got around fine."
"A small refresher won't hurt, unless you guys are unable to be professional?"
Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, Rose turns to Alexia. "Of course, thank you Alexia for the kind gesture."
Alexia nods, a bright smile making its way onto her face, "Welcome to Barcelona."
She didn't mean it.
Alexia never wanted Rose to come back.
The two girls say goodbye, before leaving and starting their tour.
They walk in silence eventually ending up at the training pitch. Alexia passes Rose a ball as they walk onto the pitch, one of the trainers accidentally left it out. "Are we going to acknowledge everything or just ignore it?"
Rose looks at her and then out at the sunset, "There's nothing to talk about. We will act civil on the pitch, and outside of it we will not talk. I did not come back to be your friend, I missed home and that is it."
"You don't even care about the club, if you did you wouldn't have left especially for our biggest rival, according to everything you told the media Madrid is your home, they don't even know that we had you first-"
"Alexia."
Alexia looks down, mumbling the end of her sentence so that Rose can't hear her, "-that I had you first."
Feeling attacked, Rose lies, "Madrid is my home, and always will be, I'm only here because my manager thought it would be best for my career."
Rose was never truly as passionate for Madrid as she led on, as she believed she was.
It was all an act, her protecting herself, running away from the pain Barcelona had brought and forgetting about all the happiness and love.
"Tours over, figure it out yourself, I'm not going to waste my time showing you around a place you don't care about."
Rose can't do anything but watch as the person she hates the most walks away from her, again. She didn't even want to be at the stupid club in the first place and Alexia is just going to have to deal with the fact that she hates Barcelona.
Does she really hate it though?
