Mess, was it ? Ekaksh hurried to the bathroom as he was late to the first day of the high school. He ran a shower within 10 min before hopping out to change.

He wore a simple white crisp shirt paired with blue pants [the school uniform], gelled his hair.

He wore a fire bolt smart watch and sprayed channel bleu de parfum cologne.

Looking dreamy, he descended downstairs only to witness a commotion.

He saw his sister Naina decked up in the white shirt, blue skirts. She had applied kajal and her usual lipbalm, highlighting her natural beauty.

A wave of protectiveness washed over him.

" What's happening here ?"

He questioned, drawing the family's attention.

"Ekaksh, your sister wants to leave her hair ope-"

"No, Maa. Naina, what's with this free hair ? if you don't want braids, go with ponytails!"

He quipped, not letting his mother finish. Everyone knew how strict Ekaksh is when it comes to Naina. He never lets anyone near her protect her as if she were a fragile child.

"But, bhai. I want to, pretty please."

she tried to showcase her best puppy face to her brother.

Ekaksh chuckled, sat next to her, and cupped her half face.

" I know you are a teenager, but I can't put forth your safety in danger in front of scandalous school boys. I promise, when you go to college, you can style your hair up to your wish."

"Anyways, you will look like a monkey either way you style your hair."

"Bhaii"

Naina whined, yearning a chuckle from Ekaksh and their parents.

Nainika and her husband Ekrishit witnessed the lovely sibling bickering with adoration filled in their eyes.

Ekaksh quickly styled Naina's ponytail, leaving a few strands of baby hair in front up to much of Naina's liking.

Yes, you all guessed it right ! Naina was the eye of the family, especially her brother.

They waved a bye as they approached the car.
