"Mm, Aira, you have grown stronger... I think you are ready," the man spoke, his back turned to the girl collapsed on her knees behind him. The forest around them lay in ruins, trees uprooted, and the earth torn apart by the force of their training. His voice was deep and stern as he continued, "But strength means nothing if you cannot control it."

His tone sharpened, tinged with impatience. "How much longer is this going to take? Eh, Aira?" He turned toward her, his eyes hard with frustration. Aira remained kneeling, her head bowed toward the ground.

"Master, I will not fail you," she whispered, looking up with tear-filled eyes, a wide, strained smile on her face despite the injuries on her arms.

The man scoffed, turning away with a dismissive 'tch.' As his footsteps grew distant, Aira's smile slowly faded, leaving only the pain in her expression.

Present time: Exams beginning

Aira made her way to the exam arena, blending into the crowd of eager participants. As she scanned the faces around her, one boy caught her attention—the same boy from earlier, the one who had been mumbling and was yelled at by the blonde. Curious, she walked over to him, her steps accompanied by small gusts of wind swirling around her feet.

"Hey hey! Deku, was it? Ehh... what a strange name!" she said cheerfully, her voice cutting through the tense atmosphere. "I'm Aira, happy to meet you!" She bowed her head slightly as a gesture of respect, her smile wide and welcoming. But as she looked up, she noticed the boy was trembling, his eyes fixed on the massive arena in front of them, his face pale with nerves.

"Ehh... everyone's so quiet! Blehh..." Aira muttered to herself, pouting slightly at the tense silence around her. Unbothered, she turned and began walking confidently toward the entrance.

"W-wait—" the boy, 'Deku', stammered, his hand reaching out as if to stop her.

Before he could finish, a booming voice echoed through the speakers.

"AAAND START!" Present Mic's voice roared across the arena.

Without hesitation, Aira dashed forward, her feet kicking up gusts of wind as she surged ahead of the group. The other participants stood frozen in confusion for a moment.

"WHAT’S THE MATTER? THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A COUNTDOWN IN A REAL BATTLE! RUN! RUUUUN!" Present Mic shouted again, urging the stunned students into action.

"Ehh... EHHH?!" came the collective response from the examinees as they snapped out of their shock and scrambled into the arena, some charging forward at top speed while others hesitated. Aira, however, was already far ahead, her focus locked on the test ahead.

At this moment, Aira was completely alone, wandering the makeshift streets of the exam arena, surrounded by towering buildings that loomed over her. She moved carefully, her senses heightened, waiting for her first encounter. It didn’t take long. Out of an alleyway darted a level 1 robot and a level 2, their metallic frames gleaming in the sunlight.
