(A/N: Hey guys, Just a heads up that I will not be posting another chapter for October, and will resume in November. I'm participating in Inktober so doing this and that plus a few other things gets a little messy. But don't worry, I doubt you are, it will be back!)
Chapter 3: The Magic Knight Exam
3rd POV:
"Just be quick about it," a masculine voice said from behind the corner of a wall. It was an underground bunker with prison cells lining the walls. The cells themselves were empty and dark, except for one. Beside the cell door were two unconscious female
guards. "It will only take a minute," echoed a more feminine but stoic and deep voice. "It better," the male replied, not necessarily talking to his companion.
Inside the cell, there was a woman in her early thirties. She had black hair tied back, dull green eyes, and a fearful expression. It was the middle of the night, and she was normally left alone. Throughout her time in this room, she only had a handful of visitors, and most of the time it was the same man who never came during the night. She wasn't sure what to think when she heard the growling sound from outside. She was even less certain when she could no longer see the tops of her guards' heads through the small, barred window.
Sitting on her bed, the woman stared at the door, too scared to say anything.
Clank!
The lock clicked.
The woman could hear her heartbeat jump just as she saw the door open. She pressed her back to the furthest wall, unsure what to expect.
"Marzia Henest?" The woman, Marzia, clutched her fist to still her shaking hands. The tone of voice was so similar to that man's. "Who's asking?"
The figure stepped in, and with the flick of her fingers, a brilliant blaze lit the dark room. The figure was a young girl with blond hair, olive skin, and eyes that were soft lavender. "Someone who wants to make a deal."

3rd POV:
Back at the coliseum, the captains have just made their presence known to the lowly examinees. Taking their seats, they were all quick to notice the abnormally large number of participants.
"Damn, there sure are a lot this year," Yami spoke. He was already bored out of his mind, not to mention that a small brat had crashed into him when he was trying to find the bathroom. Yeah, he never made it after escorting the youngest Vermillion.
"It's to be expected," Charlotte mumbled. Though she couldn't disagree. There were over 800 different participants. The number alone would make it hard to monitor all of them fairly. "Hey Yami, I'm surprised you even made it! Where were you anyways?" The youngest, Rill, laughed.
"I was looking for a place to take a dump," Yami replied, taking a small breath. Just before he could say anything else, he was met with sounds of disgust. "Yeah, Yeah. Anyways. Hey, Red, wasn't your kid supposed to be watching?"
Fuegoleon nodded, "She hasn't tried to contact me, so I'm sure she's fine." He replied casually, but deep down, he was actually terrified. He knows this was Natsu's first time out alone. The thought gave him the chills. 'What if she got lost, what if she's hurt, what if someone-'
"Yeah, I had to give her a hand earlier," Yami interrupted.
"What?" Fuegoleon raised his voice, answering faster than he wanted. With that comment, he unconsciously started scanning the audience, trying to find the small red-headed child. A futile task; while there were many examinees, there were even more people in the audience.
