It had been a long 2 weeks.

Y/N didn't know what was up with Billie. Something had switched in Billie's head earlier sometime last week and she had been in a complete slump ever since.

Staying up till 5am and waking up at noon, staying pent-up in the dark bedroom with no motivation to even leave the bed.

If she's being honest, Y/N had given up by day 3. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't stick by her girlfriend and stay in bed all day with her.

She had to work, buy groceries, tidy their apartment. It felt selfish, but the harsh truth was, the world kept moving whether Billie liked it or not.

It felt terrible to think about, but Billie's episode had also taken a toll on Y/N throughout the course of the week.

Billie staying up late, also meant Y/N couldn't get an adequate amount of sleep.

Billie being so distant, yet right next to her also felt like a stab in the heart to Y/N.

This wasn't Billie's fault though, Y/N knew that.

So when Y/N hung up her zoom call meeting at 5pm that afternoon, she quietly stepped into their bedroom where Billie was fast asleep.

'She wouldn't of even woken up that long ago,' Y/N thought.

Y/N sat on the edge of the bed next to Billie who was laying on her back. Y/N gently grabbed Billie's hand that was resting on her stomach, rubbing her thumb back and forth across it.

"Billie, wake up." Y/N spoke softly.

Billie's eyelids batted as she woke. She felt the movement of Y/N's hand on her own and tried to subtly slip it from her grasp.

"What?" Billie asked, rolling on her side to face away from Y/N.

A shot right to the heart for Y/N.

"I don't feel like cooking tonight, what do you think about take-out?" Y/N asked.

"Get what you want," Billie spoke, muffled by the blankets she had pulled up to her neck.

"Well... I was thinking Taco Bell. How's that sound?"

Billie's favourite, there was no way she could say no.

"That's fine," Billie replied.

"Wanna come for a drive to go get it?" Y/N asked, simply just wanting Billie to leave the house for even just 10 minutes.

"Just bring it back here," Billie answered.

Y/N sighed, she knew what she was going to say next wasn't going to sit well with Billie.

"Please Bil, I think it'll be good to get out of the house."

"Just go through the drive-thru, and bring it back. What's so hard to understand, Y/N?"

This is what's happened every time Y/N has attempted to help Billie this week. Of course, she won't stop trying, but it's difficult to help someone who doesn't even want to help themselves.

Y/N was at a loss, she had no idea was to do.

"Ok fine, I'll be back in a few minutes," She grabbed her car keys from the nightstand.

When Y/N returned, she placed the bag on the kitchen counter, going to get Billie from the bedroom.

This time, Billie was awake. Her phone illuminated her face in the darkness of the room.
