Chapter 2

The Family Lunch

Father: "Jimin, we've arranged a marriage alliance with Yoongi, a successful businessman."

Jimin : "Marriage? But Appa, I thought I had more time."

Mother: "Yoongi is an excellent match, Jimin. He's 25, kind, intelligent, and well-established."

Tae : "But what about Jimin's happiness?"

Father: "This union will secure our family's future. You'll learn to love each other and They will arrive tomorrow afternoon. We'll have a formal dinner to introduce him to the family."

Jimin: "Tomorrow? That's soon."

Mother: "We must make a good impression. Your Appa and I have high hopes for this alliance."

Jimin nods, taking a deep breath.

Father: "Jimin, I want you to make an effort to get to know him. This marriage will secure our family's future."

Jimin: "I understand, Appa."

Tae remains silent, observing the conversation.

After Lunch

Tae follows Jimin to their room, closing the door.

Tae: "Hyung, are you okay with this?"

Jimin sits on the bed, looking uncertain.

Jimin: "I don't know, Tae. Appa seems convinced it's a good match."

Tae sits beside Jimin.

Tae: "But what about your feelings?"

Jimin sighs.

Jimin: "I don't know about Yoongi, but Appa trusts him. I'll try to make it work."

Tae nods, supportive.

Tae: "I'll be here for you, no matter what."

Jimin smiles slightly.

Jimin: "Thanks, Tae. That means a lot.

Tae leans in, intrigued.

Tae: "Hyung, what kind of person would you want Yoongi to be? Ideally?"

Jimin pauses, reflecting.

Jimin: "Honestly? Someone kind, understanding, and genuine."

Tae nods thoughtfully.

Tae: "Anyone specific in mind? Like, a role model?"

Jimin smiles wistfully.

Jimin: "Maybe someone like... Appa. Wise, compassionate, and strong."

Tae's eyes sparkle.

Tae: "That's a great standard to set. I hope Yoongi meets it."

Jimin chuckles.

Jimin : "so what kind of person you want in future "

Tae's eyes sparkle.

Tae: "My Prince Charming will sweep me off my feet and kidnap my heart."

Jimin raises an eyebrow.

Jimin: "Kidnap your heart? That's bold."

Tae nods, dreamy.

Tae: "Yes! He'll love me unconditionally, protect me, and cherish every moment."

Jimin smiles.

Jimin: "Yes you deserve that, Tae."

Tae: "Hyung , come let's watch some drama" saying the brothers started watching dramas

Next day

Yoongi arrived at the Kim residence, surrounded by warm lanterns and traditional Korean dishes' aroma. Jimin's mother, Mrs. Kim, welcomed him.

Mrs. Kim: "Yoongi, lovely to see you! Come in, dinner's almost ready."

Yoongi bowed respectfully.

Yoongi: "Thank you, Mrs. Kim. Honored to join your family for dinner."

As he entered, Jimin's younger brother, Taehyung, looked up from his book.

Taehyung: "Hello Yoongi hyung "

Yoongi smiled.

Yoongi: "Hi! How are you doing?"

Taehyung: "fine hyung"

Jimin, standing nearby, blushed and looked away, his eyes cast downward.

The family gathered around the dinner table, filled with kimchi stew, bibimbap, and bulgogi. Yoongi's eyes widened.

Yoongi: "Mrs. Kim, this looks incredible!"

Mrs. Kim chuckled.

Mrs. Kim: "Just a simple dinner, Yoongi. Dig in!"

Throughout dinner, Jimin remained quiet, stealing glances at Yoongi.

After dinner, Yoongi helped with dishes, his hand brushing against Jimin's.

After cleaning up Said
Mr. Kim: "Yoongi, Jimin, why don't you two discuss the marriage details in private? Get to know each other's thoughts."

Jimin nodded, his heart racing, and followed Yoongi to the garden.

As they walked, the evening breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers. Yoongi turned to Jimin, his expression serious.

Yoongi: "Jimin, I want to ask you something important."

Jimin's eyes met Yoongi's, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jimin: "Y-yes, hyung?"

Yoongi's gaze intensified.

Yoongi: "In this marriage, do you truly want to be with me, or is it just out of obligation?"

Jimin's cheeks flushed. He looked down, his voice trembling.

Jimin: "I-I want to be with you, hyung... I like your character."

Yoongi's expression softened.

Yoongi: "Jimin, I feel the same. I promise to love and cherish you."

Jimin's heart swelled, his eyes locking onto Yoongi's.
