Carlos smiled and tried to calm me down, "He had a guy outside last night. It seems he likes you a little bit and was worried about you." He pushed me playfully.
I punched Carlos in the arm, "Not the time! Go see where the hell he went!"

Carlos snapped and headed toward the door. Logan and James jumped to my side watching all directions like they were waiting for a sneak attack right there in the living room. If the situation hadn't been so intense it would have been a funny sight.

Carlos reached for the door, and it flew open, hitting him in the head.

Kendall laughed and started to apologize when Carlos said, "Hey dude! That's her thing!"

They came back in the living room and Kendall started to explain, "The house is surrounded. He won't get anywhere near you without a fight."

I didn't know what to say, "Thank you Kendall. I don't know why you are doing this but thank you." He smiled and stroked my cheek but never said a word.

Suzy woke up with all the commotion and immediately started to scream like someone was trying to get her. I rushed to her and no matter what I did or said she wouldn't calm down. Kendall came over and asked if he could take her. She was kicking and screaming, and I hesitated but slowly handed her over to him. She continued to kick and scream with no hesitation. He sat down on the couch and looked at Carlos, James and Logan and they gave him a nod.

Logan quickly grabbed the guitar and the four of them started to quietly sing to her. The screaming stopped almost immediately. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.

I went over and took her from Kendall and once she was calm and awake she carefully climbed out of my arms and back into Kendall's lap, laying her head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of her head, and they continued to sing.

Once they stopped singing Suzy looked up at Kendall with tears in her eyes and said, "Please don't ever leave me again." And put her head back on his shoulder.

I started to cry and ran to my room, laying across the bed with my head buried in a pillow. He is going to leave. He has a career and a life. He is doing something he loves. She can't expect him to give that up. She is going to be so heartbroken when he leaves. How am I ever going to pick up the pieces?

I was so lost in my own thoughts and tears I didn't feel the hand on my shoulder. I jumped and turned to see Kendall, "Why don't you try to get some rest. You really need it."

I couldn't stop the tears, "I just can't."

He smiled at me and wrapped his arms around me, "Sure you can." And he laid down with me in the bed.

We were laying there with him laying behind me and I turned to face him, "What am I going to do when you leave? She is going to fall apart."

He smiled at me, "Is she going to fall apart or are you?"

The tears quickly stopped, "Are you kidding me right now? I had a husband that beat the hell out of me for fun and I never crumbled, so you really think you leaving me will cause me to fall apart? Get over yourself." I said as I sat up in the bed.

He looked at me shocked, "I had no idea. Why don't you tell me what's going on? I want to help."

I glared at him, "You can't help. You have your own life and career to worry about. You don't need to deal with this."

He laughed, "Well I'm going to help if you let me or not, but it would be a lot easier if I knew exactly what was going on."

I got up off the bed, heading for the bathroom, "Just go live your life. Leave me alone." And I slammed the door behind me.
