I sat in my room at the military base. I sighed, today was the anniversary of the day Agent Fowler found me in a pod. He told me that the pod I was in crashed into his car. After that the rest was history. I heard a knock at my door, and Fowler came in. "Hey, Dad," I whispered. He smiled and sat down next to me. "Are you ready to head out?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. "Do I finally get to see where you are working?" I asked excitedly. He smiled and nodded. I grabbed my bag and put my favorite plushie, a bumblebee, my camera, and my scrapbook in the bag. "I'm ready," I said. Fowler shook his head. "You're missing your necklace." He said. I turned and grabbed my necklace. The necklace had a small red charm on it. "Now I'm ready," I said. Fowler nodded and we headed out.

After a few hours, we arrived on the outskirts of Jasper, Nevada. "Dad, are we almost there?" I asked. He nodded. "It's just up head." He said. I looked up and I noticed that we were about to crash into a wall. "Dad we're about to crash into a rock wall!" I shouted. Just as we were about to hit the rock wall it opened to reveal a hidden entrance to a base. I let out a soft gasp as we drove in.

A few minutes later we stopped. "Stay in the car for a minute Sky." Agent Fowler said as he got out. Just then I heard a voice. "Agent Fowler, this is an unusual way for you to travel here." They said. "I know it's not the normal way for me to travel here, but I promised my daughter that on her 12th birthday, she could come and see where I work," Fowler said. "That is alright Agent Fowler." A deeper voice said. Just then Fowler opened my door. "I can come out now?" I asked. Fowler nodded. I took a deep breath and got out of the car.

I was immediately face to face with a 13-foot robot looking at me. "Optimus, this is my daughter Sky," Fowler said. I gave him a shy wave. Optimus smiled softly. "Hello Sky, my name is Optimus Prime." He said. I noticed four other bots looking at me. "This is my team, Ratchet, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee." He said gesturing at an ambulance, a motorcycle, a green truck, and a yellow sports car. I smiled and nodded. Just then I noticed the symbol on Optimus's arm was the same as my necklace. "Is there something wrong?" Optimus asked. I looked at Optimus and shook my head. "You don't talk much do you," Ratchet said. "I just don't know what to say sometimes," I whispered. "No kids are on base, so I don't talk that much," I said. Just then Bumblebee beeped and chirped happily. "Thank you, I like wearing black and yellow often," I whispered. Everyone looked at me. "What?" I asked. "Well, usually no one can understand Bumblebee besides us," Arcee said. I smiled and shrugged. I noticed a couch and I climbed up the ladder and sat down. I pulled out my bee plushie and placed it next to me. Immediately Bumblebee came over and picked it up. "You like it?" I asked. Bumblebee nodded happily. I smiled. I sat down on the floor and opened my scrapbook. Bumblebee chirped and pointed at my scrapbook. "Oh this, this is a scrapbook. I can take photos and put them here to remember them." I said. Bumblebee pointed at himself. "You want to be in it?" I asked. He nodded. I smiled, pulled out my camera, and took a picture of Bumblebee holding my plushie. The photo printed and I put it in my scrapbook. Below I wrote, first friend. Bumblebee beeped happily. I smiled. "I have a friend now." I thought to myself.
