"Why are you stressing out?" Leena whispers into Walker's ear, her voice barely audible over the din of the restaurant. "Ryan's not here yet," he mumbles, his frustration evident as he scans the menu.

"How can a restaurant not have chicken tenders?!" he complains, his voice rising slightly, drawing disapproving glances from nearby diners and a pointed 'shut up' look from his mom.

"Dad, I'm nervous," Bailey spoke softly as they emerged from the car, her apprehension palpable in the way she fidgeted with the strap of her bag.

"Bails, you'll be fine, I promise, and you'll have a friend," he reassures her with a warm smile, offering a comforting hand to Inez and Betty as they step out of the car.

"I'll stay with you, sissy," Inez chimes in, flashing a supportive smile at Bailey.

"Okay, Inez," Bailey replies, her smile growing as she playfully lifts Inez into the air, prompting delighted squeals from her younger sister.

"You ready to walk in?" Their mom smiles as she looks at Bailey for reassurance. "Yes, momma" That was her nickname for her mom. Yeah, it might be basic but something about it for Bailey she held it close to her heart.

"Ok, let's go" The 'crew' walks in to see familiar faces.

"THE REYNOLD'S MADE IT!" Hugh shouts as they all laugh. "Yep," Ryan smiles as he goes to talk to his friends.  Betty, Inez, and James go sit down next to each other leaving a spot open next to a Curly-haired kid.

𝐁𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

Thanks, girls for leaving a seat next to a person I don't even know.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" He's blonde wearing vans with a suit?  No answer.  "Uhm, ok" I pull out the chair as he looks my way.  "Hi!" The girl with long blonde hair smiles at me. I mumble a "hi" and then go look back down at my phone.

"Bailey give me your phone," Mom says as I sigh handing her my phone. "You too, Walker," His mom gives me a cheeky smile. "Walker, that's not a terrible name," He grins as he turns his chair to face my way.

"Neither is Bailey," He smiles as a curl dangles over his face.

"so like this is kinda boring wanna go to the arcade a couple blocks down?" He breaks the silence. "Sure why not," She shrugs as he takes her hand running out of the restaurant.
