Damian's POV

Y/N stood opposite me of at the air hockey table.

"First one to ten points has to," she chews her lip.

"Owes the other dinner," I said.

She raised an eyebrow "Luis. You're on," she said.

"I like anything you put in front of me," I said as I fed the coins into the table.

"Weird I like Puerto Rican," she said a smirk painting her face.

I smirk "Okay," I said as I began. I hit the puck aiming for the goal in front of y/n. But she blocks it. And hit the puck back towards me and sunk it.

Y/N laughed "One, zero," she said.

"Babe you just got lucky," I said.

"Babe? Huh?" she said "Since when am I," I sunk a goal. Y/N looks at the score and back at me.

"Since it distracted you long enough for me to score," I said and she pursed her lips.

Little did she know I found that absolutely adorable. I had known y/n since we were kids. Growing up as her grandfather was my next door neighbor as a kid. She would visit every summer and we had been friends since the day we met. But now as middle aged adults our friendship has only grown stronger and deeper. Truth be told we had seen each other through a lot. Everything from make ups and break ups and everything in between. I knew why all my other romantic relationships failed and it was because they weren't y/n. I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize y/n scored until.

"TWO ONE!" said y/n excitedly.

"Huh?" I said.

"I just scored again," she gestures to the score board above the table.

"Oh," I said taking the puck out and placing it back on the table and hit it towards y/n but she blocked it and hit it towards me but I blocked it. We began a good back and forth.

"Let's up the stakes," said y/n as she hit the puck back to me.

"Oh so dinner won't be enough?" I said.

"No. Let's add to it," she said "The winner has to kiss the loser."

"Okay. Sounds good," I said "Here in the arcade?"

"Anywhere actually. Oh you meant like here at the arcade and not where to actually place the kiss," she smirks as I looked at her she hit the puck and bam she scored "Three to one." I stared at her and she shrugged "Hey I play to win," she said.

"Y/N you're gonna pay for this," I said as I put the puck back on the table and shoot it towards her. She blocked it. My eyebrows stitch together.

"I thought I was gonna pay for it," she said a smirk painting her lips. God I didn't care if I won or lost I still was going to be able to kiss her. She hit the puck and it ricocheted off the sides before sinking into the slot that was the goal "Four to one!" she celebrated as I grabbed the puck placing it on the table. I hit it again towards her and it sank in.

"Yes Four to two!" I said smiling at her. She rolled her eyes.

"Lucky shot," she said as she placed the puck on the table and hit the puck towards me and I blocked it.

More back and forth between us. And now it's tied nine to nine.

"Next goal wins," I said as y/n placed the puck onto the table.

"Good luck. You're going to need it," she smirks as she hit the puck and it hit the side and came towards me. I block it and hit it back towards her. She blocked it. This went on for a solid five minutes before...... "I WON!!!!!!" yells y/n throwing her arms into the air.

"Congratulations," I said.

"I believe you owe me dinner," she said as she stood in front of me. Booping my nose.

"And I believe you owe me a kiss," I said and she smiled.

"That I do," she said and she stood on tip toe and kissed my cheek.

She began to turn but I grabbed her by her bicep and she looked at me "You call that a kiss?" I asked as I grabbed her face and kissed her lips. All the feelings between us bubble to the surface and she returned the kiss to my utter shock. We broke apart only because our lungs needed oxygen.

She looked at me "I-" she said as our eyes met "I-"

I smirk "Let's get out of here?" I asked.

She nods and we left the arcade. The early fall air surrounds us in a warm hug.

"Luis? What?" she said.

I chuckled as I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. I smiled and she back at me "Y/N I like you. I mean like really like you," I said "I think that's why all my other relationships never worked out because they weren't you." She has tears in her eyes as she searched my face for any sense of it being a joke "I'm honest. Y/N I love you."

"I love you too," she said "I'm absolutely head over heels in love with you, Luis. I think I always have been," she swallowed hard.

My face hurt because I was smiling so much as y/n stood on tip toe and connected our lips. I wrapped my arms around her pulling her close. I deepen the kiss.

"Let's get out of here," I said as I pulled back from the kiss.

"Yeah. You do owe me a dinner," she smirked as she caresses my cheek.

"Puerto Rican right?" I said.

"Yeah all six foot five of him," she winks.

"Naughty," I said kissing her lips again as I grab her hand and pull her gently towards my car "Your place or mine?"

"Mine is closer," she said.

I smirk before opening the passenger door and allowing her in. Running to the driver's side as quickly as possible I was never so thankful for a you're on in my life like I was at this moment as I started the car and pulled away from the parking lot heading to a future with the love of my life by my side.
