Shelly Fossilson.. Whos That?

Shelly was a museum cleaner. She cleaned fossils, paintings and statues.. she handled them with care every single day anytime of day. No matter if she was just about to clock out or just starting her days. Isn't she sweet? The day at the museum was packed and obviously she was around cleaning the bones.. one of the tourists dropped their phone.. "um excuse me you dropped your.." they didn't answer her. Or even look at her "sir- your phone" the man turned and looked at Shelly in her dusty clothes. Dusty from cleaning. "My phone! Don't take that again you thief" he snatched the phone off her and Shelly calmly nodded and walked away.. no matter how these people treated her she'd never be angry at them. Never. It's better than to forgive than put all of your energy into hate, according to Shelly.

She went back to work, cleaning bones and such with precision.. nobody spoke to her for the next hour until a tourist knocked into her making her knock harshly into the skeletal structure.. it fell to the floor in pieces "no no no... I'm so sorry for standing in your way.. I just- what am I gonna do?" It wasn't even her fault. The tourist was on their phone. Not looking where he was going, it was his fault. The tourist just snickered and walked away. Shelly ran to the managers office somehwere secure in the building "sir-" she tried to speak but was then shushed "I'm working, fossilson." Shelly opened her mouth but nothing came out.. then she spoke again "but this is really important one of the structures it's-" she got cut off by a loud slam "Shelly I'm working! Go deal with whatever it is yourself!  And so she sulked off

She tried to put everything back together but it kept falling apart.. she knew she'd be blamed.. she always is.. she just sat on the floor, crying her eyes out. She's gonna loose her job for damaging company properties.. it's a big dinosaur structure too.. something everyone comes to see so it's not like poor Shelly can hide it. It wasn't even her fault. "I'm gonna loose everything. How am I going to get another job if people don't even notice me" she said looking at her participation award stuck neatly onto her overall dress. It wasn't even a good reward.. it was a participation award- a stupid participant award. She threw it to the floor. Stamping on it. "All I ever am I a participant. Never anything special" despite all this she still isn't angry at anyone.. she's angry at herself.. for not being anything special..

The manager found out about the statue. Enraged he stormed over to Shelly's whereabouts "Shelly your fired. You were the only one cleaning that structure today. You broke it. Pay me for the properties soon and find another job" Shelly just stood there "right away.." soon enough it was plastered on news, pictures of the broken dino skeleton was on the news and news reporters swarmed Shelly in the streets. The most commonly known reporter, vee Vision Pro, came up to her "did you break it on purpose or accident. There's no cctv footage of course" she said pointing the mic at Shelly "I wouldn't break company property on pu-" she was cut off yet again "I never even got your name. Oops. It doesn't matter of course you're just the person who broke it." She said clearly not understanding her wordly impact

"Oh it's-" vee put her finger to her lips "just speak" vee took a step back to talk to a cameraman while Shelly was speaking and just as Shelly was about to describe it was an accident vee cut her short once more "apparently I'm needed elsewhere thats all the time we have for today!" She zoomed off leaving Shelly standing there.

Life from that point wasn't great. Shelly was in a financially dark place and looked for any job offers.. at her lowest point a little note slipped through the bottom of her apartment door.. a note with a little rainbow flower stamp. A job application. Just what she needed
