A year later, everything in Stiles' life had changed in ways he could have never imagined.
He and Derek were still together, more in love than he thought possible. They were the kind of couple that couldn't keep their hands off each other, always sneaking kisses when they thought no one was watching. It had gotten to the point where even Scott and Allison—who used to be the couple—rolled their eyes at them. And that was saying a lot, considering how nauseatingly in love Scott and Allison still were after all these years.
Stiles had officially moved in with Derek only a few months after graduation. They'd spent years dancing around each other, so it just made sense when Derek asked if Stiles wanted to make it official. Stiles had said yes before Derek even finished the sentence. Moving out of his dad's house had been emotional, but Noah had been proud—he had seen this coming long before Stiles had. And if he and Stiles had shed a few tears during the move, that was a secret they kept between themselves. Noah's only demand had been that Stiles and Derek come over every Sunday for dinner, a tradition they gladly upheld.
But the biggest surprise of all had come not long after Stiles' birthday. Scott and Allison had announced they were pregnant. That's what Scott was holding back when he gave Stiles his gift. Allison assured him they could wait to tell Stiles and the pack later. They had a little girl named Charlotte Celeste McCall, "CC" for short, with Scott's warm eyes and Allison's determined chin. She was a bundle of joy, and Stiles had been honored when they asked him to be her godfather. He couldn't have been prouder, and the sight of Scott holding his baby girl—so soft and gentle—had brought tears to Stiles' eyes more than once.
As for the rest of the pack? Everyone was thriving. Lydia had thrown herself into wedding planning with the same determination she once reserved for solving supernatural mysteries. Jackson and Ethan were set to tie the knot soon, and Lydia had already started planning an over-the-top engagement party for Liam and his fiancee Theo. Erica and Boyd were still the power couple, strong and solid as ever, while Malia and Kira were busy figuring out their own path forward, together and happy.
Looking back, Stiles couldn't help but marvel at how much things had changed since that fateful night a year ago when he had shown up at Derek's doorstep, confessing everything. He had been so scared back then, worried he was reading things wrong, that Derek didn't feel the same. But now, a year later, he had no regrets. Everything had fallen into place in ways he never could have imagined.
He didn't just have a boyfriend—he had a partner. A home. A family, in every sense of the word. Sundays at his dad's, cuddling with Derek on their couch while watching late-night shows, the laughter of their friends filling their house during gatherings—his life was full. And even though the pack still fought the occasional supernatural threat, there was a peace that had settled over them, a sense that everything was finally as it should be.
As Stiles lay in bed one morning, Derek's arm slung lazily over his waist, he smiled to himself. The sun was peeking through the curtains, the warmth of it mingling with the steady rise and fall of Derek's breathing beside him.
"Hey," Derek mumbled, voice thick with sleep as he pulled Stiles closer.
"Hey yourself," Stiles whispered back, pressing a soft kiss to Derek's temple.
"Thinking about something?" Derek asked, his lips brushing against Stiles' collarbone.
Stiles smiled to himself, running his fingers through Derek's messy hair. "Just thinking about how perfect everything turned out. No regrets. Not a single one."
Derek smiled against Stiles' skin. "Good," he murmured. "Neither do I."
And in that quiet, peaceful moment, Stiles knew—this was exactly where he was meant to be.
End.
