*When Suki was 5*

*Suki's POV*

It was a normal day in the castle I was walking in the hall wandering around in the halls that I've walked like a million times already. I was frustrated because my mom the queen wouldn't let me go outside and play with kids my age, I think she's just paranoid that something will happen to me. That couldn't be possible because I'll have a guard or two with me so I won't get hurt at all or I won't get kidnapped. But nooo she had to be annoying and say 'Oh that's not enough. So no you have to stay here no leaving.'

God, she annoys me so much that she won't even let me have fun with other kids. I mean it's not like the other kids will intentionally hurt me, like seriously what? She is just so annoying for no reason, I don't even get hurt easily.

She even makes me wear a mask like all the time, but I like wearing a mask a lot, it makes me look more mysterious.

A maid walks up to me, "Princess, the queen has requested you." She says to me.

I nod in acknowledgement and I start walking to my mom's room. I walk down the hall toward my mom's room, I put one of my hands on the wall as I walk. After a minute of walking, I make it to my mom's room and hear a faint but stern "Come in." I open the door and walk in before closing the door I curtsy to her as a sign of respect.

"You asked for me, mother." I say in a matter-of-fact tone, as I look in her eye which looks almost deadly.

My mother sighs and slumps down a little, "I need you to start wearing dresses, it's not ladylike to wear pants and t-shirts." I look at her bewildered.

"What! No! I'm not gonna wear a dress they're weird and itchy!" I yell back at her. I mean it is true they do make me feel really itchy, that's why I've always despised wearing dresses.

"You have no say in this matter, you're wearing dresses and that's final." she told me sternly. I huff in frustration because when my mom says that it means it's going to happen no matter what I try to do.

"Now go to bed your getting up early tomorrow for proper edict lessons" I was surprised because I've never had to do this before why now?

"But-" I started but she cut me off. "No buts go to bed." I sigh turn around open the door and leave the room. I walk out into the hallway and I start walking to my bedroom. I made sure to walk extra slowly just to stay up longer instead of going to bed right away.

Just a few minutes later I get to my room. I open the door and walk in closing the door behind me. I lazily crawled into bed and stared at the ceiling, barely even tired. I lay there for a while before actually dozing off.
