I'm regretting this decision. I feel nauseated just at the idea of meeting up with Hudson at the club. I know that no matter what, tonight will not end without me and Landon having some sort of argument. Hopefully, it's a really big club. One that if you lose sight of your friend, you're screwed. Maybe he won't even see me. I now wish that Hudson would've just told Landon I was coming. Maybe he wouldn't even have showed up.

I caught the taxi, making my way to the address that Hudson provided me with. He offered to pick me up but I told him I wanted to come alone. That's the last thing I need is Landon giving me shit for that too had he seen us riding together.

When I step out of the taxi, He's waiting outside of the club for me.

"You look nice." he smiles.

"Oh, this old dress?" I laugh awkwardly. I've never known how to respond to compliments.

I wore something a little more revealing than I'd normally wear. I black mini dress with flats. Clubs get way too hot to cover up too much.

"Are you ready to head in?"

"Yeah, I'm just nervous. It's been so long since I've been out. I haven't been to a club for months."

"Well, tonight let me change your mind." He laughs.

Doubtful, I think to myself.

We show our IDs at the door and the bouncer lets us in. I'm blinded by neon laser lights and I can barely hear myself think over the music. I follow Hudson to a bar located in the back of the club.

"I don't know about you, but I'm doing shots tonight."

"Screw it, me too," I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Four shots of Patron. Put in on my tab," Hudson yells over the music.

"Patron? Hudson that's expensive!"

"Don't worry about it."

"No, you're not playing for my shots."

"Live a little. It's not like you asked. I want to." He smirks.

The bartender slides all four shots our way.

"Two for me and two for you. Bottoms up." He smiles, throwing his head back and downing the shot.

I do the same and my eyes begin to water. This is some of the strongest alcohol I've ever tasted. Most expensive too. After we down both of them, he orders us both a mixed drink. I'm not even sure what's in it.

I look over and see Landon sitting at the other end of the bar with a drink in his hand. Who comes to a club to sit alone? He hasn't seemed to notice us yet.

"Oh shit. Your brother is right next to us." I laugh.

"Yeah, he sits at the bar for a while before disappearing. I told you, I have no idea what he even does when he vanishes." Hudson laughs, looking in the direction of his brother.

"Hurry, let's go dance before he notices us." I giggle.

"See, I knew you knew how to have fun." He says excitedly, grabbing my hand.

It's fun to see this childlike side of him. He's a lot more serious at work. Something about him makes me feel at home in a more friendly way. He has a way of making you feel wanted and comfortable. Kind of like we've been friends our entire life. In reality, though, he doesn't know a lot about me outside of a few questions he's asked. That's okay though because I don't know if I'll even be in New York in the next year. I don't want to get too close to anyone.
