"I guess I could go for a hare," I mumble. I step out of my den into the morning sunlight of Pine Cove. Looking around, I sniff the air, hoping to smell some prey close to my den. I pick up a scent of something, unsure of what it is at first.

I sneak up on it when I get close enough, not caring to check the wind direction because it's barely a breeze. I pounce on the hare, swiftly killing it. I grasp its scruff in my jaws and trot back to my den, hungry for a meal. I enter my den and set down the hare on the ground.

I start to pick the hare apart, enjoying the taste of the freshly killed animal. I hungrily dig into the hare, not caring about the blood getting on my red fur.
