2. **Clarity 5/5: The prologue is descriptive; I could feel the protagonist's emotion, see her surroundings in my mind's eye, and smell her fear. I understood what I was in for and what to expect from the book by reading the prologue.

3. **Intrigue 5/5: As I read the prologue, I wondered what she was running away from. I got the feeling that she had been held in captivity for a while. Towards the end, when she is almost caught by the captor but escapes, only to fall into an abyss, I was completely hooked.
