Codename, Silent but deadly, the assassin shrouded in darkness. His identity remains unknown. He moves through the shadows, always searching for his next victim. Some call him a fairy tale; others believe he's a monster, but as for me, I know he is the incarnation of death itself. I have been chasing him for years, always one step behind, but that changes today. I tracked him to Mount Rushmore. The president's faces haven't been the same since the second civil war. Only Washington remains recognizable.
"Huh, what is this?" I asked, nervously fiddling through my pockets.
I pulled out a piece of paper that read. "Dear cowboy man, I don't wish to hurt you, but I will if you don't back off. This is your final warning, leave now and I will allow you to live out the rest of your existence in peace, but if you have a death wish, then meet me on top of Washington's remains. Yours truly, Silent but Deadly."
"Finally, I will have my revenge," I said, caressing my scar riddled face. "Wait, how did this note end up in my pocket?" I scratched my head. "Ugh, it doesn't matter. Let's finish this." I cracked my knuckles and headed up to the heads. I snickered internally.
I searched as far as the eye could see, but he was nowhere to be found. Just then a kunai impaled my shoulder. I cried out in pain and turned to find... the target. Silent but Deadly. He was standing mere inches from my face, our eyes met. I will never forget those dastardly emotionless eyes for as long as I live.
"You... YOU KILLED MY FAMILY," I screamed. "Take off that mask, let me gaze upon the face of their murderer.
Silent cackled, took a step back, and removed his mask. "Is my face as beautiful as you expected?" Silent said.
"I... I don't understand, that's my face," I said. Unable to process my emotions; I focused on the easiest one, rage. "STOP MESSING WITH ME. Show me your real face."
"This is my real face," Silent laughed. "You really can't remember our reality when you're in this world, can you?
Silent smiled and punched me in the gut, The impact of the strike sent me flying into a boulder that was once part of Lincoln's head. I looked up, but Silent was gone.
"Show yourself," I said as another kunai was lodged into the back of my leg. I turned around to find three shuriken's flying at me simultaneously. Thankfully, the sun was at its highest, in other words, high noon. I quickly drew my revolver and dispatched the shuriken's with ease. With my senses heightened, I was able to locate Silent. I ducked behind the boulder and pulled out my cannon. I placed the chamber near my rear as I farted with all my might. I pulled back the trigger and let it fly. Moments later, I heard the thud of Silent's body hitting the ground.
I walked over to his unconscious body. "I guess this town wasn't big enough for two Silent but Deadly," I said.
"Ugh, that was a cheap shot," Silent said. Reality began to change. No longer were we fighting at Mount Rushmore, we were locked up in a completely white room, padding covered every surface. "I'm going to tell Doctor Psycho."
"Good luck with that," I said. "He thinks that you are just a part of my imagination. That I created you to cope with the fact that I murdered my family, but I know the truth. You are real and one day, I will find a way to kill you and prove my innocence."
