The Parker Coven never knew Andi existed. Her parents intended to keep it that way. They were worried that if Kai's family found out about Andi, that if they were the ones to raise her, they would treat her like they did Kai, especially since there was a chance she could be a siphoner witch like her father. Before Charlie was killed and Kai was attacked and sent to the prison world, they took Andi to the only person they trusted, Charlie's sister, Melissa McCall. Melissa herself was pregnant but happily took in Andi and raised her as if she were her own.
Kai made sure to leave Andi with a necklace that had an endless supply of magic (gotta love dark objects), in case she was a siphon like him. He also left a few disguised grimoires, so regardless of what type of witch she becomes, she would be able to train or teach herself. And that is exactly what she did.
When Andi was 6, she discovered she was a siphoner witch, something considered an abomination to the supernatural world. She found the grimoires as well as a hidden letter from her dad inside one of them. She trained herself and became a powerful siphon witch all on her own.....well not exactly on her own, her best friend/brother Ty helped her and never looked at her differently. He was the only one who ever knew about the supernatural and Andi being a witch, well, that is until a psychotic alpha showed up in Beacon Hills and started killing people.
