She told you and only you that she has gotten spider powers and became Ghost-Spider

You both are roommates living a apartment building, You are sitting on the couch whilst on your laptop looking for jobs to sign up for.
Gwen got back after dealing with a robbery as she enters though the window

Gwen: *sigh Hey.....

I was finishing my project on my laptop and was trying to apply for a job

Y/n: Hey..how it go?..

I asked as i looked at her and gave her a small smile

She sat down on the couch beside you, resting her head against your shoulder. The fact that she could just sit against you like this and rest against you shows how close you both are*

Gwen: Got a bit boring and annoying towards the end...but was easy at first, got to stop another robbery.

Y/n: You never get a break huh?..
I said while i start to gently stroke her hair

She shook her head as she let out a sigh and slowly nuzzled her head in the crook of your neck

Gwen: No...I don't...but its fine, i've got you...but I feel like it might be nice to just...take a break for awhile and relax

Y/n: heh..
I then continued to look at my laptop sending my application form then few seconds later i was declined again which sucks

Y/n: Ack.. again?..*sighh

She heard you let out a sigh and got curious, looking at your laptop as she tried to see what was wrong

Gwen: Hm? Whats the matter? Find another job that turned down your application?

Y/n:..yeah...Again..geez I don't know why some jobs keeps declining me..

I said in frustration and rubbing my temple

She reached over and placed her hand on your shoulder, looking empathetic as she saw you were feeling annoyed from being declined from the job

Gwen: They're missing out. You're smart, you're talented, you're very capable...You will get a job that'll treat you well and won't decline you. Trust me

Y/n:...*sigh i sure hope so..i gotta need some cash to pay our rent

Seeing you look upset and annoyed from being declined from a job made her feel upset too, she slowly inched her arm around your waist and pulled into a small side hug

Gwen: Hey...I'll be able to cover our rent for awhile...until you can find a job that actually accepts your hard work and worth

Y/n:.no no... it's alright gwen...keep your money...
I said as i waved my hand Infront of her declining her offer

She wasn't going to listen, her expression shifting to a stern look as she shook her head and spoke in a stern tone

Gwen: No. I'm covering it for a bit. You need to keep your money. I'm Ghost-Spider, I go out and stop robberies and criminals daily and don't get payed once for them. I'm covering the rent for a while. End of story

Y/n.. *sigh...your really stubborn huh

She chuckled softly as a small smile formed on her face from being called stubborn, then gently poked your cheek with her finger

Gwen: Hush, I'm just looking out for my best friend...even if it means being stubborn with them
