Zarc woke up again later to the pitter-patter of little feet and the sound of little ones shrieking with joy. He opened his eyes just in time to see Yugo run into his room followed by Yuto, Yuri, and some of the shadow creatures.
"Daddy!" Yugo squealed, doing his very best to climb up the blankets and onto Zarc's bed. He wasn't making very much progress, and Zarc chuckled. Clear Wing, Dark Rebellion, and Starve Venom picked up the toddlers and set them on the bed.
Yuya woke up then, yawning adorably and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "Hungwy," he said, looking pitifully up at Zarc. The king chuckled and picked him up, cuddling him. "Don't you worry, Yuya. Breakfast will be here soon! We're gonna have lots of food!"
"Yummy! Food!" Yuya squeaked happily, hugging his father. Seeing that, his brothers all wiggled out of the dragons' arms and pounced on Zarc for hugs. Zarc chuckled and hugged them all back. They were so tiny that he could wrap his arms around them all at the same time.
There was a knock at the door, and a voice called out, "Your majesty, I brought you breakfast!"
"Enter," the king responded. In came the royal butler pushing a cart with several silver domes, followed by the royal taster. The butler smiled when he saw the little princes snuggling with their father. "Ah, I see their Highnesses are here as well. That'll save me several trips to their rooms."
He lifted the silver domes to reveal the royal family's breakfast. For Zarc there was avocado toast topped with poached eggs and cherry tomatoes, very trendy. A vibrant smoothie bowl with granola, nuts and fresh berries. A plate of eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Greek Yogurt with honey, mixed nuts, apples slices, pear slices, grapes, blackberries, raspberries, figs, and pomegranates. Chia seed pudding with almond milk and topped with fresh fruit and a drizzle of maple syrup. A breakfast burrito made with a whole wheat tortilla, filled with scrambled eggs, black beans, cheese, and salsa. Oats soaked overnight in milk, mixed with fruits, nuts, and spices.
For the little ones, there was a more child-friendly spread. There were plates of fluffy pancakes made with applesauce, with fresh berries on the side. Bowls of creamy oatmeal topped with honey, sliced bananas, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Layered parfaits with yogurt, granola, and mixed fruits. Scrambled eggs served with whole-grain toast cut into the shapes of dinosaurs and stars. Fruity smoothies made with spinach, banana, and yogurt, served in colorful cups. Soft cheeses served with whole grain crackers and slices of apple and pear.
"Enjoy your meal, Your Majesty and Your Highnesses!" the butler said with a bow.
