(She is in LA)
Marissa's P.O.V

Mrs. Maxie walks out with something I haven't seen in a while...A smile. She looks at me and starts jumping up and down while I am just calmly sitting there drinking my Pepsi.
"You are getting adopted Marissa. Go pack, fix your hair, do whatever...YOU ARE GETTING ADOPTED,"she yells as I take a big sip of my Pepsi. Then it knocked me upside the head what she just said. I end up spitting my drink all over her which she was not to happy about, but I am getting adopted.
I get up and run to my room and grab what little I had and a tiny picture of my mom and her hair clip that she gave me when I was 10 right before she died. It was all I had left of her other than her locket. She was a wonderful woman always happy and kind. I sometimes wonder how my father ended up with her, but they were a beautiful couple.
I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't realize that Mr and Mrs. Ross where standing at my door.
"Is that your mother," Mrs. Ross asked me. I nodded with tears in my eyes.
"She is beautiful. You know you look just like her," Mr. Ross told me and that is when I started bawling. I grab my journal and turn to an empty page and wrote thank you so much for doing this, but are you sure I have a lot of baggage.
"Yes you are perfect. And you are very welcome no let's go get on the plane sweetheart we have a few hours from here to New York," Mrs. Ross said. Wait a minute plane, New York.
"Have you ever flown in a plane before," Mr. Ross asked me. I shake my head no.
"Don't worry, it isn't as bad as people say it is," Mrs. Ross says ushering me out the door.
"You know we have 4 other kids at home. We also have a nanny and butler."
It is official.....I am going to die.
