Harold enters with a drawn mustache on his face, looking proud of his artistic flair. He struts in, oblivious to the groans from his teammates. Following closely behind is Duncan, who collapses onto the nearest table with a loud thud, clearly feeling the effects of sleep deprivation.
“Dude, you really need to wake up!” Heather snaps, rolling her eyes at Duncan's dramatic entrance. She strides over and gives him a shove, hoisting him up onto the bench. “Get up! We need you at least semi-conscious for whatever Chris has planned next.”
Duncan groans, trying to rub the sleep from his eyes. “Can’t we just sleep for a week instead?” he grumbles.
Heather smirks, “Yeah, right. Chris would never let us. Just try not to drool on the table next time.”
Meanwhile, at the other table, Katie and Sadie huddle together, whispering excitedly as they start forming an alliance.“I think we should totally band together,” Katie suggests, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
“Yeah! We can totally stick together and help each other out!” Sadie agrees, nodding vigorously.
Unbeknownst to them, Beth and Lindsay overhear the conversation from a nearby table. The two share a look and then approach Katie and Sadie.
“Hey, we couldn’t help but overhear,” Lindsay says, a bright smile on her face. “Can we join your alliance?”
“Of course!” Katie replies, grinning. “The more, the merrier!”
Sadie claps her hands excitedly. “This is going to be so much fun!”
Just then, Katie waves over to Heather, who is still at her table. At first, Heather waves back with a casual smile, but then she realizes Lindsay is with them. Her expression shifts to one of annoyance.
“What are they doing over there?” Heather mutters under her breath, her competitive instincts kicking in. She narrows her eyes at the group of girls, feeling a wave of frustration wash over her as she sees them plotting together.
Heather, still watching the group form across the room, taps her finger on the table, irritated. But then she remembers her long-term goal: Season 3. If she wanted to stand a chance against Alejandro, she'd need a solid strategy. And right now, building an alliance with someone clever, like Noah, was her best bet.
Hey,” Heather says casually, glancing around the room.Noah barely looks up. “Hey.”
There’s an awkward silence for a moment, but Heather, determined to keep things normal, tries again. “What are you reading?”
Noah raises an eyebrow, surprised at the small talk. “Just some random novel. Keeps me from getting bored.”
Heather nods, trying not to seem too out of place in the casual conversation. “Cool. Better than dealing with the drama around here, I guess.”
“Definitely.” Noah gives a brief smirk before returning to his book.
Before the conversation could continue, Chris's voice crackles over the loudspeaker, announcing, “Ten minutes until the next challenge, campers! Get ready!”
Heather gives Noah a quick nod. “See you out there.
The two teams gather on a court with clear, glass walls. Duncan, looking utterly drained from the previous challenge, drags himself onto the bleachers. He immediately collapses, pulling his cap over his face, muttering, "Wake me up, and I swear, you'll regret it."
Courtney crosses her arms, glaring in Harold's direction. "This is all your fault, you know. Duncan wouldn't be so grumpy if it weren't for your snoring all night!"
