ARSALAAN'S POV


today definitely I'm going to say about sahira to mijaan. I'm sure that she will talk to her parents and everything will be fixed. After the breakfast i started, but before i could  utter a word my phone rang. 

"bhai kaha hai tu jaldi office aaja" said my friend zain.

"lekin maine kaha to tha tujh se ki aj mai nahi aauga"

"Aree haan yaar mujhe yaad hai, lekin jo meeting foreign investors ke sath the wo aj hi prepone hue hai."

"lekin prepone karne ki kya zarurat the, tune mujhse pucha bhi nahi ? "

"wo investors ka kal call aaya tha, unhe aj shaam ko hi kahi jaana hai isliye unhone request ki the  aj meeting karne ke liye."

"aree yaar too tu mujhe ye baat kal bhi bata sakta tha na"

"kyu aj batane se kuch farq padh gaya kya. Ab zyada kuch mat bol jaldi se aaja. abhi adhe ghante me meeting shiru hone wale hai."

without hearing my reply he just ended the call. I went to my room and hurriedly changed my clothes. mijaan was sitting on the couch busy doing something. 

"Mijaan suniye ! mai ek meeting attend karne jaa raha hu. do teen ghante lagenge mujhe aane me. ap lunch karlijiye or mujhe apse ek important baat karne hai."

"theek hai beta. mujhe bhi tumse bahot zaruri baat karne hai. sambhal kar jaana. Allah hafidh."

I reached the office and after the meeting. I and zain went thoroughly through the papers and signed it. Afer being done with the paper work i came back home. The whole things took 3 hours.

i had lunch and helped mijaan in the kitchen and was patiently waiting for her to come. Now i  had  the whole evening  for me to explain things to her.

We sat peacefully and had tea. She cleared her throat and with a nervous expression started the conversation.

"Arsalaan beta mujhe tumhare baba ne call kiya tha, wo chahte hai ki tum shadi karlo."

I clenched my jaw and tried to control my anger. He had no right to order me around. He never listened to me then why should i listen to him.

"Mijaan mai ye jaanta hu ki mujhe ab shadi karlene chahiye or mai tayyar bhi hu."

"ye to bahot ache baat hai arsalaan beta, tumhare baba ne ek rishte ke baare me bhi bataya hai unke dost ke ladki hai wo."

"mijaan ap ye jante hai ki unke kuch ehmiyat nahi hai mere zindagi me or mai unke baat maanu, mujhe khud ek ladki pasand hai or ap hi uske ghar mera rishta lekar jainge."

"Ya Allag arsalaan beta, koun hai wo ladki ?" her eyes sparkeled as she asked me this question.

"bazu wale flat me hi rehte hai wo. bass ek baar dekha hu use mai. tab se dimag me bass use ke khayal aarahe hai, itne din se kehna chahta hu apko. to bataiye kab jaa rahe hai ap mera rihsta lekar."

"ohhooo kya bukhar chada hai mere bete ko us ladki ka..haan ?? bass use ki khayal aarahe haii ? par rahe rishte ki baat jab tum kaho jab chale jainge." she giggled while teasing me. my face heated up and ears turned pink.

"fir too kal hi chalte hai" she added later while grinning. 

"Theek hai mijaan lekin mai un uncle se aj isha me milkar puch lunga " I said 

We continued our chat with random talks and some teasings from her. 

When i went for isha I talked to Amir uncle, I actually did not say anything clearly about the proposal. I just said that my mijaan wanted to meet and make a good bond with them.

He was happy that finally I would be comming after declining many times.

So the lunch was fixed at 2.

I want home and said about the lunch to mijaan. "Ohoo mere bete ko to bahot jaldi hai," she teased me. She was all excited and happy for me. 

"Arsalaan beta tumhare abbu ne  kaha hai ki tum apne marzi se shadi kar sakte ho. Lekin ladki uhne bhi pasand aani chahiye aur wo bhi shadi attend karenge." She said while hesitating.

"ji mijaan. lekin unhe agar pasand aaye bhi nahi to mujhe koi farq nahi padega. Mujhe malum hai unhe kaise laddki or mahool pasand hai or rahe baat shadi me aane ki to inshallah dekhing." I completed.

 I slept peacefully hopping that Allah fulfill my prayers. There was this longing in my heart for her.
