"Ivy, it's time to get up sweety. Don't wanna be late for your first day of school, do you?" My mother's voice cooed from the doorway of my bedroom.
A loud groan escaped from the back of my throat, as I rolled onto my stomach and buried my face into my pillows. It was quiet for a few moments after that, so I figured she was gone.
Boy, was I wrong. All of a sudden, the covers were torn off of me and my body was shaken violently from the left side by a pair of hands. My mom always does this if I'm being stubborn in the morning.
"Okay mom, I'm up!" I whined, forcing myself out of bed.
After she left, I found my way to the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I quickly made my way to the bathtub, turning the knob above it. As I waited for the water to get warm, I shed my clothes and combed through my hair with my fingers a bit.
I showered quickly, like I usually do in the morning. Most of the time I wake up too late to do anything but take a five minute shower and eat a small breakfast.
I walked out of the bathroom in a towel, stepping back out onto my carpet and making my way across the room to my closet. My hands messed with the material of a couple outfits, until I finally found one that matched my mood, not caring whether or not my mother liked my choice of clothing.
I settled with jeans and a jumper, messily plaiting my hair down the middle of my back. After slipping on my vans and backpack, I made my way downstairs.
I rushed into the kitchen, my mom cooking something that smelled quite pleasing. Unfortunately, I was already late, so I just grabbed a few pieces of bacon, and was on my way.
"Ivy, where do you think you're going with that outfit on?! And you need to eat breakfast!" Mom yelled after me.
"Sorry mom, I'm already late." I replied, stepping out of the house and walking to my car.

My hand turned the doorknob for history class slowly, aware that class had already started. A small sigh escaped my lips as I stepped foot in the classroom, all eyes on me.
"Nice of you to join us, Ms. Carter.." Mr. Winn said, glaring at me with those evil eyes of his.
I gulped, my eyes searching for an empty desk around the classroom. My eyes landed on two guys in the middle row of desks - Andy and Maz. Unfortunately, the seats around them were taken.
The only empty seat was in the back right corner of the classroom, next to a kid that I didn't recognize. He must be new.. A small sigh passed my lips, as I tightened the grip on my books.
I quickly walked to the back of the classroom, not wanting to be any more of a disturbance than I had already been. On the way to the back of the classroom, I stumbled over a few books and binders, but luckily, I didn't trip and fall on my face like I usually would.
My backside soon met the bottom of the seat, leaving my legs to the side of the seat so that I could lean back onto the wall behind me. I placed my books on the desk, thankful that I actually grabbed the right ones.
As I tried focusing on the teacher, who was trying to get the class's attention, a movement in the corner of my eye caught my attention. I couldn't help but turn my head to see, because I'm so easily distracted.
The kid next to me was fixing his chestnut hair, flipping his head in different directions whilst doing so. That wasn't what caught my attention, though. There were tattoos scattered everywhere on his arms, and one on his neck that was cut off by his white v-neck. He had a full sleeve of tattoos on his left arm, and a quarter sleeve on his right arm that stopped at his elbow.
I couldn't help but notice that he was one of the only ones in the entire school with tattoos. He obviously had the most ; by far. Not that I was complaining, I could tell that most of his tattoos had meaning, even if I was only looking at them without any explanation.
This kid gives off a major bad boy vibe, and I think I like it..
