BACKSTORY Jeon Jungkook was born to one of Asia's richest and most powerful families. His father, Jeon Woo-sung is the mastermind behind the conglomerate, Blue Technology, which is responsible for more than 70% of the world's phones.
Jungkook's mother, Shim Suryeon is responsible for the Jeon group, along with being the dean of The Jeon's School of Arts and the Jeon's club. If you round it up, it is one of the most prolific schools in the country with a 1.7% acceptance rate and 100% passing rate. She was also an opera singer, being called 'Asia's soprano.'
They married when she was 21 and he was 49. Jungkook wasn't all to fond of his father because of this, they married because of status but she seemed to love him.
Jungkook chooses to create jewellery instead of inheriting his father's company. He first started because of his mother; she was in love with jewellery and since Jungkook loved her, he decided to make some for her. It started with small little golden bracelets, ones she wore every day, into extravagant pieces of art. He started a company, now a conglomerate, called Papillon, mainly because of his love for butterflies.
However, she did, unfortunately, pass away due to breast cancer when Jungkook turned 21. She died young, only 40. That took a massive toll on him, his father seemed to not care that much since he was "preparing for it." He told Jungkook that her last words were "Listen to appa."
