The engine roared as the car halted, moving forward with dangerous speed.

Crap, I'm late! I looked at the time on my watch, biting my lips anxiously. So much for being early; it's all my alarm's fault.

I couldn't even do my makeup properly-oh, my pathetic self!

I reached my office, parking my car in the VIP reserved area before quite literally running in my heels.

If I miss this meeting, it might affect the project our team is working on. If we make it according to the discussion board in my room, it would be a top hit, putting my company at least 1 in the charts.

Ah, the thought alone makes me smile!

I fixed my suit as my assistant quickly handed me the meeting papers before we entered the conference hall.

The weather today was something like I've never seen.

Our conference room was on the 11th floor, so it gave a nice view of the city.

The clouds were casting yellow rays of light as they rumbled, with leaves falling but no rain.

It almost looked mesmerizing, unreal, and mostly familiar.

"Ma'am?" I jolted up from my thoughts, drawing my attention back to my assistant, who had a worried look on her face.

Oh God, don't tell me I was daydreaming in such an important meeting!

"Yes, um, I apologize, ladies and gentlemen, for that. Thank you for joining us in this meeting. We know it was scheduled very unexpectedly.

But as we know, our team is working on our latest project, but we are short on some funds as it requires the most advanced technology and coding to create what we want.

The future of ASTELIER is in our hands. We can make this project reach number 1.

As you can see on your tables, there are several files placed. They are the demo version of the project. Take a look."

I said confidently, even though inside I was having a nervous battle. This is something very big; if this doesn't work out, it will drag my company down.

The conference room was filled with people talking and discussing, some agreeing while others were being skeptical.

In the end after a long discussion the shareholders were willing to give this a try I smiled as I bowed thanking everyone

Walking out of the conference room, I headed toward the designated area of the company. Only four people had access: my assistant, and my two team members, Gina and David.

I scanned my fingerprint as the first door opened, creating a pathway to the second one, where I scanned my face and ID.

"Match identified," the machine beeped, opening the final door and revealing the million-dollar project that no one had ever created before. The sight took my breath away, filled with the promise of innovation and the potential to change everything.

I approached the machine, which represented the world's first time-traveling system ever created in human history. It felt surreal; in that moment, all my years of hard work and dedication coalesced into a tangible reality.

I stared at the machine, unaware that it was already operational. My eyes widened as I observed the system in progress on the computer screen in front of me. This is not good; I need to deactivate it immediately.

Suddenly, the machine beeped, and a man's AI voice boomed in the otherwise silent room.

"System will be transported in 10 seconds."

My hands felt clammy as I frantically worked on the computer to deactivate it, knowing that the implications of a time-traveling system activating without proper oversight could be catastrophic.

"Last countdown," the AI voice boomed again. "Welcome to Astelier System Version 5.0."

A beam of striking white light enveloped the entire room, causing my eyes to close due to the sudden intensity. I felt a tremendous force exerting pressure on my body as I was yanked from the ground and pulled toward the white pathway that David had designed.

I made a mental note to remind him to incorporate more colors into this system; a touch of vibrancy would certainly enhance the experience.

I mentally scolded myself as the white beam became almost unbearable. My mind felt light as I struggled to maintain consciousness, but it was as if all my thoughts were being drawn into a void.
