Creo que no te quiero,
que solamente quiero la imposibilidad tan obvia de quererte.
I think I don't love you,
I only love the so obvious impossibility of loving you.

Since he returned from his journey of redemption and purging his sins, he saw his comrade in a different light. In fact, he had already begun to see her in a different way for some time, but that had been evolving.
When the war ended, Sakura was always there for him; constant visits and check-ups at the hospital. At the time when they were mere Genin, all that irritated him, but deep down he liked having her attention, but until now he had not understood his feelings. As time went by, he began to understand that, after the trauma of the massacre of his clan and the death of his family, he had had all his feelings heaped into one; hatred, hatred towards his brother. All that changed when he reconciled with Itachi; he began to open his mind and heart to people that had always been by his side, but who he had pushed away and distanced from him because of the lack of understanding of his emotions.
And all that changed now. And so, many emotions began to resurface, believing that they had never been there, but they were.
Sasuke at 20 years of age had barely experienced what any teenager had experienced in pre-adolescence and in full adolescence. Now, at the beginning of his youth, many feelings and sensations began to emanate.
When Sakura asked him to accompany him on his mission, he had not had in mind that all this could happen. Accustomed to traveling alone, or with companions who did not awaken any emotion or feeling in him, he began to think that perhaps he should have thought twice. But he had an impulse and his impulse was that he wanted to spend more time with his old companion, the one who had spent years devoted and faithful to him. The one who had never lost hope or judged him.
It was true that she tried to deceive him that time, but those were dark times, a time when a war was approaching. And he wasn't at his best either, unstable after finding out that everything he had known until now was a lie, and that unhinged him to the point of almost losing his mind.
But now, now he was with his comrade, the girl who had never hidden her feelings for him, who changed over time and now he didn't know which thoughts she had over him. Although her insistence on accompanying with his journey told him that she was still in love.
At first there were no complications. Everything was going well, he directed where they had to go, he planned and ordered the steps they had to follow when they were given a small mission. Everything was going well, until a few weeks had passed, and Sasuke began to notice his partner.
Summer had begun to arrive, and Sakura no longer wore the cloak that covered most of her body. She barely wore it on some nights when the temperature was still low, but during the day, her body was almost exposed.
The tight shorts and the small skirt left almost nothing to the imagination. He was aware of the constant glances of the men from the towns and villages they passed through. He was aware that Sakura had become a pretty woman, and probably the most beautiful young woman in Konoha, but he would never say that out loud. Sasuke tried not to be like those men who looked at her up and down lasciviously. He watched her on occasions when she was distracted; when she was focused on a task, like when she assisted and intervened with people who needed medical attention, or when she sewed some of Sasuke's torn clothes. On other occasions, he watched her when she walked in front of him, and observed the landscapes. Also, when she approached animals, they came across on the way, like small rabbits or kittens looking for food. On all those occasions he observed the kind and selfless heart she had.
