The clock struck 11:03 as I rolled up to the club, and I was greeted by a serpentine line that snaked around the building. Among the throng, I spotted Ty and Mijo at the front, engaged in conversation with an enormous bouncer. Making my way toward them, I was introduced to the towering figure—massive but silent, I simply exchanged a quick dap and slipped inside.

Once through the doors, I was enveloped by the pulsating crowd that filled every corner of the venue. Yet, undeterred by the chaos, the three of us made our way to the VIP section. I positioned myself by the balcony and gazed down at the sea of bodies rhythmically swaying on the dance floor. It was then that a pair of big brown eyes flicked up at me, accompanied by a sweet smile that captured my attention. There was something achingly familiar about her, and, in an instant, recognition struck me like lightning: it was Shane, looking absolutely stunning.

Eager to reconnect, I navigated my way through the throng, the crowd swirling like a tempest around me. At last, I caught sight of her scanning the room—perhaps she was searching for me? Seizing the moment, I stealthily approached and gently covered her eyes with my hands.

"Guess who," I murmured, my voice laced with a teasing allure.

She spun around with a spark of excitement dancing in her eyes. "Chrisssss!"

Her exuberance was contagious, and I found myself smiling right back at her. Tonight, I yearned for an authentic conversation; our previous encounter at the mall had been fleeting at best. Back then, she'd been perusing the latest Jays at Finish Line, where I'd gathered the courage to introduce myself. Flattering compliments flowed, a charming exchange ensued, and just like that—BAM!—I had her number.

Leading her up to the VIP perch, I settled beside her, taking a moment to admire the breathtaking sight she presented. Clad in a striking one-shoulder white dress and perched on elegant Daffodil Louboutin pumps, she radiated confidence and grace. Her smile was captivating—a luminous beacon in the hazy atmosphere. I found myself entranced, though I carefully averted my gaze whenever she caught me peeping, lest my admiration betray my intentions.

But, inevitably, she caught me red-handed.

"What you looking at, ugly?" she teased, a playful glint in her eyes.

"Yo fine ass—what else could I possibly be admiring?" I shot back, humor mingling with sincerity.

In an unexpected yet delightful twist, she leaned in and pressed her lips against mine, catching me off guard. Time seemed to stand still, the cacophony of the club fading into the background as the world narrowed to just her and me.
