CHAPTER 1

~

Hello! Welcome to my story called "The Power". I made this story about a year ago I believe so I'm sorry if some parts make no sense. I have tried to go through it and proofread it but haven't had the time to, I guess. Anyway, enjoy!

--------------★--------------

April 6th, 2015

It was a normal day for Villain in Syracuse, New York. Robbing banks, destroying buildings, making plans to destroy the next "savior" that came along.

Now they are back at 'home', also known as their headquarters. Everything you have grown to know and love it there. They've been there since they came together as a group, which was 14 years ago. When Villain was 10. Val was 7.

"Yo Vil! We put all the money in the safe, need anything else?" asked Val, Villain's sister.

What's that? Oh, sorry, twin sister.

Villain, who was sitting in a chair with his leg over the other, says "No, tell the guys that we are done for the day. They deserve a break." "YES! FINALLY!!" All 5 henchmen, including George, yelled from the other room.

Val lets out a small chuckle at their response. Villain then takes a sip of coffee and reads a book. Val walks to the couch, plops herself onto it and lays down, playing with a Rubix cube.

"Sooooo- when are you getting a girlfriend OR boyfriend? Pleeeeaaaaassssseee be a boyfriend." Val whispers the last part. She loved the idea of her brother with a boy. As weird as that sounds.

"I am sorry? What do you mean?" Villain questioned while taking a sip of his coffee and glancing at her. Why is she asking such questions? She's being awkward. As always.

Val then asks again, "When are you getting a partner? To, ya'know, spend time with and talk to? And to have some... fun... with?" She smirked at her brother.

Villain spits out the caffeinated drink from shock and attempts to say "What?" while choking.

(To the book lovers, don't worry, the book is fine. No coffee spilled on it.)

"Oh come on!" She shifts in her laying position to face Villain.

Villain, who was somehow able to stop choking, "I already told you."

Val then starts mimicking what her brother is saying just to mess with him, "I do not date."

"Yea, yea," Val starts off, "You're lonely, I get it!" Villain scoffs. He responds with "I am not lonely! I have you lot." in his somewhat British accent.

"You know what I mean. You need to start finding someone for you." Val scowls.

Villain rolls his eyes "I have a partner, in fact, I have 6! It is you guys. You all are my partners in crime. George, Jack, Parker, Wilton, Carson, and you!"

"We're not your 'partners' dude!" Val says. "Oh hush, it is not like you guys are trying to get with someone," Villain answers.

Val, staring at him, stands up and says "That's the thing! We've all attempted to try and find somebody that wants us. You need to too," she storms away, disappearing into her bedroom, the 2nd best master bedroom in headquarters.

April 10th 2015

"Yes! I have done it! It is perfect." Villain says.

"Wait, it's done?! Like, finished, finished?" asked Parker, the supportive henchman but yet he's almost always wasted after every party he goes to. Sometimes he's wasted after a day of robbing places.

Surprisingly, he's not wasted at this moment.

"You finished it? Nice, now we just have to wait for a 'savior' to come along," says Jack.

Jack is a tall guy that loves to fight people. For example, he stole something from Wilton and they both had to go to the hospital from fighting each other.

Good thing Villain was there, otherwise they'd be done for. After a moment of awkward silence, the quiet was broken by a sudden voice in a room down the hall, "Okay, WHO STOLE MY GAMING POSTER?!" yelled Wilton from his room.

Wilton is a cold but ruthless soul. He's a gamer and if you steal anything from his room or gaming setup then you might just get beaten up, or in the worst case scenario, hospitalized.

The reason why you 'might' get beaten up or hospitalized is because of Villain, if Villain isn't there then your best bet is to hide and that's a 10% chance that you'll make it out with only a blackeye.

Jack and Parker ran into their rooms, quietly shutting their doors behind them.

After the doors shut, Wilton comes floating, literally, out of his room in a stormy fit. The raging color of fiery red starts to glow around his enclosed fists with eyes glowing the same color. His hair, flowing as if it was in water.

"Wilton, what did we talk about?" Villain asked as he packed up the finished plan into a case for safe keeping.

Wilton responds while floating back down to the ground with the colors slowly disappearing, "To not use.." he pauses.

He was about to speak again, but Villain started talking. "To not use what?"

"To not use my powers in headquarters," Wilton sheepishly says. Villain asks another question, "Why?"

Wilton then responds in a softer tone "Because it can hurt the people I care about."

Villain now has a proud look on his face "Very good. Now, onto serious matters," the proud face fades as he calls out names.

"JACK, PARKER, COME OUT HERE, NOW!" As the doors to their rooms start opening, Wilton turns his back to them and starts to walk towards Villain.

"We going out to create more chaos?" he asks with a small grin on his face.

Villain responds "Yes, go start the car." Jack and Parker come out of their rooms once they knew that Wilton was gone. For now at least.

"Okay, so, we are going out to create more chaos. Parker, go get the rest of the guys and Val. Jack, go help Wilton with getting the car ready," Villain says to the two 'afraid-of-Wilton' boys.

Jack scoffs and pouts "Oh come on! Why me?" Villain then looks at him dead in the face. Jack then holds his breath and manages to make out a "Yes sir."
