Ever since I was 6 I always wanted a prince charming. One that would buy me a unicorn on my birthday and we would ride towards the sunset together, and we would be on the magical swings that took us all the way into the magical cotton candy clouds. But all I have is an old swing set at the Wind Bridge park. And my dreams. My friends say that I never grew up. Instead of going shopping I would day dream at home and then afterwards paint my day dreams so I never forget them. "Hanna? Are you listening? Hello?" Macy was waving her hands in front of me as if I were a statue. "I'm here! So yeah Tony broke up with you. He was crying and all that. We are done you may now go home and we shall see each other at swim practice tomorrow at 11. Deal?" Macy stared at her nails and acted all cool. "Well I don't know I'm so popular I shouldn't be going home. I should be going to the party at Jaime's house! He is to die for cute! Meet me at the stop sign at 6. Hanna West Dean you do not want to miss this party!" I was in the middle of a day dream were I am a beautiful mermaid and Jaime is half horse half man and we ride on top of a rainbow. "Huh? Oh yea I forgot about his party. See you at 6! Oh and don't tell my mom I skipped school today. She thinks I need therapy!" Macy was walking away when she turned around and said "Your secret is safe with me."

We were at Jaime's house and it was so, what's the word? Beautiful! There were paintings every where! It was paradise! " Hey Hanna wanna go up stairs with me? I know where we could find a good spot." Mike winked at me and came closer to me and leaned in to kiss me. I have to admit, I am pretty hot. I smile. I lean in kiss Mike and then slap him cause I want to! "Perv!" I walk away and hear laughing in the room. Macy comes running after me. "I can't believe you just did that! Mike is H O T!!!!!" Macy then saw another cute guy and left me. Like always. I go up to the third floor and go into a room. I want to daydream for a while. My mom says that I have the heart of a 3 year old but the mind of an 18 year old. I guess it's true. I see some couple making out and throw up in my mouth a bit. "Just passing through!" I see the door to the balcony and open it right away. Perfect, a place to be alone. I breath in and smell the salt water of the beach. Then I open my eyes and see the beautiful sunset. "Enjoying your self?" I turn around and see a guy sitting down. "Hi my name is Jake. I'm new at school. My first day and I already got sucked into the popular world." Jake came and stood next to me. I hate when I think or say this, but this guy is really cute! Wait, he probably wants to trick me with his little spell and get me in the bedroom. Not gonna happen. "Well that is good for you. Hi my name is Hanna. I should have worn my name tag.I hate when I forget my name tag." Jake started chuckling. It was adorable like, like a puppy. "Don't worry I am not trying to get you in the bedroom. I just want to make some friends." I look at him like he is crazy or something."You just read my mind! Well you seem like a nice guy. Consider your self my friend." Jake smiled at me. Wow his teeth were white! " Well I really want to ditch this party. I want to go to this place with the swing set. It seems like a peaceful place." I hope he means Wind Bridge park! "I can take you there if you want. I know a short cut through the woods." I grabbed a rope and tied it to the balcony. Before I knew it I was on the sand helping Jake get down. As we walked through the woods all I heard was silence. And Jake tripping behind me. "Come on your too slow!" I was skipping through the woods and I rarely made a sound. I was like some kind of ghost. We had probably been running for like 2 hours because I couldn't see anything. "Great. Were are we?" I started laughing really hard. My laughter must ave done something because it started to rain. " Oh my gosh! I should have never came with you! Lol! Come on lets find shelter!" Jake was laughing really hard. Something about his laughter made me feel safe. Sure we were in the woods at night and it was pouring, but I felt safe. "Let's get under that tree." It was getting really cold and, oh it just started to snow. I don't know why but I hugged Jake. He made me feel warm. "What are you doing?" Jake looked at me like I was some skunk that sprayed him. "I am really cold and I sort of want to survive." Jake hugged me back and I fell asleep in his arms. I felt right there. I hear myself as a 6 year old saying "My prince charming has arrived." I had a feeling that Jake had come to me for a reason. In order for him to be prince charming, I have to build my way up brick by boring brick.
