He was sitting in the car with Pierre, soft melodies drifting through the air. The quiet between them felt easy and relaxed.

Pierre caught a glimpse of Renee from the corner of his eye, noticing him humming along to the tune. It was as if Renee sensed his gaze, prompting him to turn and meet Pierre's eyes.

"Could you keep your eyes on the road?" he said, a playful grin spreading across Pierre's face.

"I can't help it, not with you looking so stunning in my car," Pierre replied.

A blush crept onto Renee's cheeks, illuminated by the car's soft lighting, and Pierre couldn't help but smirk at the sight. "Have I mentioned how adorable you are when you blush?"

Renee looked down, feeling the familiar heat rise in his face, a sensation that had become all too common over the past few weeks. He felt foolish.

"Have I?" Pierre teased, that smirk still firmly in place. He knew exactly what he was doing. After a moment, Renee regained his composure and fixed his gaze on Pierre.

"I'd prefer not to crash, and I assume you feel the same, so please concentrate on driving," he urged.

Pierre shot him a lingering look before nodding. "Right, we’re on our first date, and we don’t know each other that well yet. I suppose I should be cautious."

He redirected his focus to the road, but Renee's eyes darted to him almost instantly.

"It’s a date?" he asked, his voice slightly shaky.

Pierre glanced over quickly. "Yeah, it is. What’s wrong? You don’t want it to be?"

Renee blinked in surprise. "No, no! I mean, yes, I want it to be." His response brought a bright smile to Pierre's face.

"Great."

He is surprised about the whole date thing, he didn't know this dinner out was a date, so he was definitely taken aback. He doesn't really know how to feel about it, he doesn't know what to expect. It's just a date, he shouldn't be so disturbed by it. Friends also go on dates too.

When they pulled up to the five-star restaurant, Pierre hopped out first. Before Renee could open his own door, Pierre was already there, grinning widely as he held it open. Renee stepped out slowly.

"That was quick," he muttered under his breath.

"You're welcome," Pierre replied cheerfully.

Renee took a moment to look at him before asking, "You smile a lot; doesn’t your face get tired?"

"Not at all! It just makes me ten times more hotter," Pierre said with confidence, and Renee fought back a smile of his own.

"Sure," he replied, amused.

"Come on," Pierre urged.

As they entered the restaurant, a tall, slender woman in a tailored suit approached them, her face adorned with a warm, inviting smile.

"Welcome, gentlemen," she said cheerfully.

Pierre nodded in acknowledgment, while Renee offered a polite smile in return. "We have a reservation for two," Pierre informed her.

"Right this way, Mr. Martin," she replied, guiding them to a beautifully arranged table in an open area that boasted a stunning balcony view of the city illuminated by night.

Pierre graciously pulled out a chair for Renee. "Thank you," he said before taking his seat.

With a smile, Pierre settled into his chair, now facing Renee.
