With the team assembled and briefed, Spectre led them to a high-tech vehicle hidden in the warehouse. "This is our ride," he said, gesturing to the sleek, armored truck. "Mandy's tech will help us infiltrate the target's security systems."
As they boarded the vehicle, Beastman's massive frame squeezed into the back seat, his eyes fixed on the rearview mirror. "I don't like this," he growled. "Feels like a trap."
Thunder-Girl placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "We've got this, Beastman. We're a team."
Fireblast grinned, his flames burning bright. "Yeah, and we're about to take down a corrupt corporation. Buckle up, folks!"
With Mandy's tech guiding them, the team set off towards their target: the heavily fortified headquarters of the sinister Omicron Innovations.
Frenchie snorted, his French accent thick with skepticism. "Corrupt corporation, zee usual suspects, no? I 'ave a bad feeling about zis."
Ghost was sitting beside him, nodded in agreement. "I've been scanning their security systems. It's like they're expecting us. This could be a trap."
Spectre's eyes narrowed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. "We'll be careful. Mandy, can you hack into their internal comms? Let's know what we're walking into."
Mandy's fingers flew across her keyboard, her eyes locked on the screen. "Working on it...okay, I'm in. They're definitely preparing for something. I'm picking up chatter about a 'special guest' and 'enhanced security measures'."
Beastman growled, his massive frame tensing. "I don't like it. Let's just get in, get the job done, and get out."
Thunder-Girl placed a calming hand on his arm. "We will, Beastman. But we need to be smart about it. We can't just barge in without a plan."
As the Guardians approached the Omicron Innovations HQ, the team fell silent, their eyes fixed on the towering skyscraper ahead.
Once they approached the entrance, Mandy's voice came through the comms system. "Alright, I've disabled the cameras and alarms. We've got a 30-second window to get inside."
Spectre nodded, his eyes locked on the door. "Let's move. Frenchie, Ghost, take point. Beastman, Thunder-Girl, cover our six. Fireblast, you're with me."
The team flowed into action, their movements practiced and precise. Frenchie and Ghost slipped through the door first, their eyes scanning the lobby for any signs of danger.
Beastman and Thunder-Girl followed, their massive frames filling the doorway. Fireblast brought up the rear, his flames burning bright as he covered their escape route.
Spectre led the way, his eyes fixed on the elevators. "Mandy, can you get us to the top floor?"
Mandy's voice came through the comms system. "Working on it...okay, elevator's unlocked. But we've got a problem. Omicron's CEO, Ryker, is waiting for us. And he's not alone."
The team exchanged a tense glance. They knew Ryker was ruthless, but what did Mandy mean by "not alone"?
As the elevator doors opened, a chilling smile spread across Spectre's face. "Let's go say hello."
