Take me back to the night we met

~at the restaurant~ 

Martin and mandy were swift to get inside and talk to the hostess, which means Mila and Hamzah got left alone.

"You look pretty." Hamzah says to the girl while looking at her. Mila looks at what the boy is wearing, shes never seen him dressed up. Hes usually in his weird tshirts and sweatpants. 

"You don't look to shabby yourself." She swipes his shirt to unwrinkle it. 

"So Mama want a blunt?" He questions pulling one out of his pocket.

"Mama needs a blunt." she makes sure to add some emphasis to the needs.

Hamzah quickly lights the blunt taking a hit and passing it to the blonde next to him. 

"So, everyone knows about our little situation, expect martin and mandy." Hamzah says breaking the comfortable silence.

"I want to tell them both, especially mandy." The girl says resting her head onto hamzahs shoulder. "But I dont know how Martin will react, and I trust mandy but sometimes things just slip out, you know?" She says making eye contact with the boy.

"I know. I hate lying to martin, hes my bestfriend." He says taking a puff. "But I honestly don't know how he would react." He passes the blunt to the girl. She happily takes it in her mouth. 

"Your stunning." Hamzah says kissing her forehead. 

"I'm taken." Mila scoffs while rubbing the end of the joint a post. " We have to go in." 

"Wait who are dating?" Hamzah says watching the blonde get up and walk away.

"Not you boy." Mila scoffs to the boy

"How are you going to ruin this moment by saying boy, boy." Hamzah laughs catching up with the girl. Once the two reach inside they see the couple sitting at a table and make their way over to them.

"What was taking so long?" Martin asks his friend and his sister

"We were making tiktoks." Mila says before Hamzah could answer.

"Boy get the hell outta here boy." Martin says fake swiping his sister away.

"Ive been meaning to ask. Why do we keep inviting Hamzah to our family dinners?" Mila says looking at the boy next to her while rolling her eyes.

"He pratcially is my brudder." Martin says.

"Okay martin. I love you, but we are in a nice restaurant, please try to be normal." Mandy says while resting her head in her hands.

"Im sorry." He says while kissing his girlfriends cheek. 

~after dinner~

Mila says goodbye to her brother and his girlfriend while stepping out of the car. Hamzah closes the car door after the girl. The two wave goodbyes as the car infront of them speed off, they stand in silence even after the car is gone.

"Soo.." Mila says dragging the o's.

"So." Hamzah says turning to face the girl. 

"Lets talk more about telling Martin." Mila says breaking the eye contact and looking down at her hands. 

"Yes, lets do that." Hamzah says holding her hand and leading her for a walk.

A walk back to where they first kissed.

sorry i suck at posting, and honestly this book is really bad. debating about starting a new one. Ill make sure to end this one on a good note though!
