I was awakened from this place I called heaven by this thing I called the devil, my alarm clock. It read 5:30. It was a Monday morning in Mendocino, California. It was really hard for me to wake up considering the fact that we were coming back from Spring Break. I had spent most of my spring break sleeping in and now my whole sleeping schedule was ruined.

I opened the curtains in my bedroom exposing the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. My dad was a doctor and my mom was a lawyer. We were pretty wealthy considering the fact that we lived in the most beautiful house on the beach. My parents were always in and out of the house. I had spent most of my time at the house with Darla, the house maid.

Plugging in my I-Phone to my dock, I turned up the volume slowly hearing Lana Del Rey's voice get louder.Walked to my closet and searched till I found the perfect thing to wear. I wasn't one to care what people thought of me but I still loved the idea of looking good.

I slipped on a pair of dark skinny Hollister jeans, along with my new white loose knit top. I topped it off with a pair of brown combat boots and a red scarf. I looked at my petite figure in the mirror. My long wavy dirty blonde hair draping over my bust going all the way down almost toucing my hips.I was satisfied with what I saw. I didn't wear much makeup, I didn't really need it.I had long eyelashes as it is so all I had to do was curl them. And my hair had a natural wave so I never did anything with it.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs for breakfast, the time was 6:30 and I didn't have to be at school till 7:20.Walking into the kitchen my mom already had breakfast prepared.Bacon, eggs, sausage and pancakes.

Even though my mom was gone most of the time, she was still a good mom.She was the type who got up extra early in the morning just to make sure breakfast was served. The type who you could go to advice for. The mom who made sure that no matter what, her child came first.

¨Morning mom!¨ I said.

¨Morning honey.I served your plate already, dont want you running late now do we?¨ She winked.

My mom often teased my brother, Tommy, he was a year older than me, a senior graduating this year.He always ran late to school, wich is why my mom bought me a car as soon as I started driving. I was always on time.I was the good child of the family, always getting good grades and awards at school.

¨Mom you say that almost every week.I get it, Im always late and it won't happen anymore alright? So chill.¨ Tommy said walking in.

Tommy on the other hand was the not-so-good child of the family. I mean he wasn't bad, like the type to get into drugs, he knew better. But his poplarity often got the worst out of him.In my opinion he spent too much time trying to be the social butterfly. He was awed by many girls at our school, Mendocino High School.Wich is why alot of people wondered how we could be related. It wasn't that I was ugly but that I was just one to not care about being popluar.

¨Do not tell me to c h i l l whan I just recieved a letter in the mail saying you have to attend court this Thursday for getting five speeding tickets in the last past week!¨ my mom said sternly.

Dang.Five speeding tickets in a week?

¨Mom....¨

¨Save the explanation and explain how your going to come up with the money to pay the fines.Im certainly not bailing you out on this one.¨ my mother said.

Finishing my food I left the kitc
