Nobody's Pov
Beyoncé was just settling in for the evening when her phone buzzed. The name on the screen made her smile—Rihanna.
"Hey," she answered, her voice soft as she curled up on her couch.
"Hey, B," Rihanna's voice purred through the line, playful as always. "We're having a little party tonight, just a few friends, some music, a lot of fun. You should come."
Beyoncé hesitated. It had been a while since she'd been to any kind of party. With her current financial situation and everything going on, she felt out of place in those circles. "I don't know... I'm not sure I'm in the mood."
Nicki's voice chimed in the background, "Come on, B! It'll be good for you. Besides, you know you miss us."
Beyoncé smiled at the sound of Nicki's playful insistence. The truth was, she did miss them. Since they'd started seeing each other, Rihanna and Nicki had become more than just a distraction from her problems—they were starting to feel like a lifeline.
"All right," Beyoncé said, giving in. "I'll come."
"Great! We'll send a car. See you soon," Rihanna said before hanging up.
Beyoncé sighed and stood up, walking over to her closet. She rummaged through her clothes, searching for something decent enough to wear. Money was tight, and shopping for new outfits wasn't an option. She eventually settled on a fitted black dress she had worn a few times before. It still looked good on her, hugging her curves in all the right places.
The party was already in full swing by the time Beyoncé arrived. The place was filled with people—familiar faces from the industry, music blaring, laughter filling the air. As soon as she stepped inside, she felt the buzz of energy around her.
Nicki spotted her first, waving her over from the bar. "There she is! Looking like a goddess, as usual."
Beyoncé smiled and made her way over, accepting a drink from Nicki. Rihanna was nearby, deep in conversation with a group of people but still managing to shoot Beyoncé a warm smile from across the room.
"Have fun, okay?" Nicki leaned in close, her breath warm against Beyoncé's ear. "You deserve it."
Beyoncé nodded, taking a sip of her drink and trying to let herself relax. But as the party swirled around her, her mind drifted to the things she couldn't ignore—her bills, her father's betrayal, the life she had once had before it all fell apart.
"Beyoncé?"
The voice was soft, hesitant, but instantly familiar. She froze, her heart skipping a beat as she turned to see the face of someone she hadn't expected to see.
"Kelly?"
Kelly Rowland stood there, wide-eyed and smiling, as if she couldn't quite believe it was really Beyoncé standing in front of her. They hadn't spoken in years, not since everything had fallen apart with Destiny's Child and Beyoncé had slipped away from the spotlight.
"Oh my God, it's really you!" Kelly exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug. "I can't believe this."
Beyoncé hugged her back, her emotions swirling. She hadn't seen Kelly in so long. So much had happened since then, and yet, in that moment, it felt like no time had passed at all.
"Kelly, it's been forever," Beyoncé said as they pulled back, her voice thick with emotion.
"I know! What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in ages, girl."
Before Beyoncé could respond, another familiar voice chimed in.
"B?"
Beyoncé turned to see Michelle Williams, her other best friend from Destiny's Child, standing there with the same look of disbelief on her face.
