"You look mighty flamboyant today! Well scratch that, you always do!" You hear Tengen's rather loud voice complimenting you as he puts his arm around your neck to pull you into a side hug.
You respond to him by giving him your gentle friendly laugh as you lean into his hug a bit, however your laugh immediately quiet down as you felt intense eyes behind you, almost like they were staring deeply into your soul. (It's his snake 😱😏)
Looking behind you slightly it was Obanai staring intensely at you, perhaps out of .. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐲..? You step back a bit from Tengen as you bowed and kindly smiled at him knowing damn well all he was doing was hitting on you but it's fine.
Feeling the intense staring Tengen also looked behind him seeing Obanani staring, making the air a bit awkward. Tengen coughed slightly and scratched the back of his neck.
"So uhhh you still with O-" Tengen started to speak but only being cut off by Sanemi bursting into the conversation.
" Shut up- Oy! Are you still with Obanai? Look at him fucking staring at you like he's about to murder you" Sanemi asked, as Tengen turned to you and nodded indicating that was probably what he was gonna ask as well.
It was awkward to answer, but you wanted to see what response you'd get from Obanai.. or if you'll even get one that is..
"Aah! No we're not! We're just friends !" You answered as you tried to brush off the question with a smile. It's not like you could tell your fellow hashira comrades what had happened between you and Obanai, he was the one who wanted to keep it on the low, so you were just following. At least that's what you thought..
"Oh thank GOD!" Tengen says laughing hitting the back of your back a bit as Sanemi shrugged and walked away.
After a few more minutes of talking Tengen walked away with his business as you heard a pretty loud sigh escaping Obanai lips, thinking it was probably a sigh of relief and he was no longer jealous. But my oh my.. that would had been the biggest lie.. of course he couldn't tell people to back the fuck off and stay away from you.. people had the impression they were just friends..
