It has been months since Aki had witnessed Midoriya's fateful encounter with All Might. In that time, she had trained in secret, pushing her body to its limits, honing her quirk, and preparing herself for the U.A. entrance exam. If Midoriya, the once quirkless boy who now carried All for One, could aim for U.A., then why not her? But Aki's path was different. She had no All Might to guide her. Her quirk, an eerie power that allowed her to blend into the shadows, made her stand out for all the wrong reasons. Her appearance- a combination of her pale skin, unnaturally all white eyes, the way her body bends in a way that shouldn't be possible and the ethereal glow of her body-often led people to fear her. If anyone at the Entrance exam saw her true form, they would think she was a villain.
So, she decided to hide. She couldn't risk standing out like that, not yet. Not until she proves herself. On the Moring of the entrance exam, Aki stood in front of the mirror, her reflection staring back at her. Today wasn't just about her quirk; it was about fitting in too. about being see as something other than a monster or ghost. She had gone to great lengths to hide her true look, colored contacts that hid her unusual all white eyes, to now a light shade of blue. She wore a thick, dark cloak that covered her entire body, a hood pulled low over her head, and a sleek mask covering the lower half of her face so only her eyes were seen. The mask was simple yet effective.
Her hands were gloved, and the rest of her body was concealed by the cloak. The disguise felt strange, almost foreign since she was used to dressing in a light outfit that made it easy to move. but it had to be done. "I can't let them see me yet..." Aki whispered to herself, as she fixed the cloak hood to make sure it won't come off during the entrance exam. With a final look at herself in the mirror, she slipped out of her apartment, moving through the shadows to U.A. Hight School. It wasn't hard to find. Even from a distance, the school loomed large, a towering symbol of hope and ambition. The place where heroes are made.
The entrance exam waiting area was already buzzing with activity by the time she arrived. Students of all shapes, sizes, and quirks crowded the area, many nervously chatting or practicing their ability. Aki, however, stayed silent, keeping her distance, she pulled her hood down lower, making sure her face is barely seen. she couldn't afford for people to see what she looks like. She spotted Midoriya in the crowd, looking more nervous than anyone else. He was talking to a blue haired boy, her eyes lingered on Midoriya for a moment. She was wonder how he'd preformed during the entrance exam. Aki shifted her focus to herself; she wasn't here for him. he was here for herself.
Aki stood among the other students as they gathered in a massive stadium-like area, where massive robotic villains lined the arena. The task was simple: destroy as many robots as possible to earn points. This would determine their worth as potential U.A. students. She kept her head down, listening as Present Mic, the energetic Pro Hero acting as the announcer, he yelled "okay, start!" we all looked at him and he spoke again "What's wrong?! there are no count downs in real fights!" he started to move his arm as he yelled "run! run!" Aki kept her head down. Aki's grip tightened on her sleeves. If she revealed her true quirk—the ability to dissolve into shadows and attack from the darkness—would they see her as a threat? A villain? "Stay calm," she muttered to herself as she was assigned her starting gate. "Stay hidden."
When the gate opened, chaos erupted. Students charged forward, quirks blazing as they began to attack the robotic enemies. Aki moved quickly but quietly, staying on the outskirts of the battle. She ducked into a nearby alley, watching as the other students displayed incredible abilities—fire, electricity, super strength. Each one seemed more impressive than the last.
Aki took a deep breath and stepped into the shadows. She didn't have any flashy powers, but she had something just as valuable stealth.
She melted into the darkness, her body blending seamlessly into the shadows of the ruined cityscape that made up the arena. From her hidden vantage point, she watched as students took down robots, earning points and making names for themselves. All the while, Aki waited for the right moment, assessing the situation carefully. Then, she struck.
